The other day my hubby got this watermelon (the past 3 or so we got from Mexico as we no longer buy anything from USA anymore; boycotting now due to the tariffs, have been *REALLY* good, nice deep red and so juicy the juice runs down your chin) but it wasn't good like they had been lately; it was pale and hard and dry and tasted like cardboard and he was just so disappointed, disgusted and grossed-out he just threw the entire thing out in the yard for the critters (squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, birds) to enjoy which they did( shown here) so it wasn't wasted as food is just so expensive and we can't afford to just throw $$$ away. I also wonder too how in Britain they call their yards a "garden" so what then do they call their actual garden , the place where you grow your flowers, plants, and vegetables? I also can't believe it's already the middle of July and the month is half over but it feels like such a looong week even though it's only Wednesday, likely due to the heatwave which we've had since last Friday. Today it's going up to 32 C feeling like 41 C and yesterday I could only stand to be out in the sun for an hour it was sooooo hot!
I also have a bad feeling about ELO's Jeff Lynne and I hope he doesn't die( he's 77) as he has an infection and has had to cancel concerts.I'm glad I saw him last summer and he seems like he's one of the Good Guys too and has always been gracious to his fans. The 30 YR old also goes to the dentist today for a 2 HR app't and most people dread going to the dentist but he's actually excited. It oddly never bothered me, just as long as they use freezing first. Last night I also overheard his GF saying to him(I assume about his childhood and the way he was raised although I don't know about specifically what) I can't believe you lived like that! to which he replied, I know, right? and I couldn't help but feel slighted and insulted as I dedicated my entire life to raising and homeschooling the kids and sacrificed so much and did the best I can.
At least I know Beja loves me and now he finally lets me touch his paws and clean his eyes and ears, too.
The reality is that most people who think they’re middle-class are actually part of the great lower-class population.-Michael Cheng
