Yesterday I went to the eye place and got my eyes tested as I need new glasses. I already had reading glasses but even so lately it's blurry and I often have double-vision so I figure I need a new prescription and I know it's been more than the recommended 2 years (I figured maybe 3 years, perhaps 4, time goes by so fast I can't keep track) but as it turned out according to their records it's been 6 years...wow...oh, wow....no wonder....I had no idea it's been that long. In any case I now not only need a stronger prescription for the reading glasses but also for distance which has really gotten bad, so I had the choice of either combining it into one lens or getting 2 separate glasses, one for each. I like my old glasses frames with the shiny metallic purple frames so I asked if they could put the new lens in and they said normally yes but it wasn't big enough to fit both so I ended up using my old frames for the new reading glasses lens and selected a new pair ( a noce silver framed Roots brand that matches the silver in my hair nicely) for the distance. They should be ready in 1-2 weeks and my hubby's insurance at work covers most of the cost except for something like 40$ we have to pay.
As well during the exam they found something shocking and disturbing as well: I have a big scar at the back of my right eye and they asked if I'd been to a poulty farm and no, I haven't, and apparantly it's caused by a larvae entering the bloodstream and migrating to the eye ( how horrific and gross is that? and I have to go back again in 2 months tohave it re-checked to see if any changes. I checked on the Internet when I got back and did a Google search using the words eye scarring larvae and what I kept getting was Occular Toxocariasis, caused by the roundworm parasite( and those suckers are really long too, like spaghetti!) that can be found in dog and cat shit as well, so maybe Buddy has it ( they get it from sniffing other dog's shit) and I got it from him, from picking up his shit, and even though I do use a poop bag and wash my hands after if I accidently got some on my hand ( which I sometimes do) and had a small cut, for example, it would have already gotten in there before I had the chance to come inside and wash it off, so maybe....it might also explain my abdomenal pain and diarrhrea too if I have worms.....and why Buddy also has it and will sometimes shriek when he shits and why the two of us sometimes have blood from our ass when we shit....maybe we have worms? It also said you can get it from unclean water and such in tropical countries so I may have also picked it up in Jamaica or Cuba at the beach maybe, from the water( going up my nose or if I got a gulp in my mouth from a big wave) or in the sand....could that maybe be the cause of my issues, or at least explain some? It also only migrates to the eye in 5 % of cases of people who have the parasite too, so once again here I am, the rare and unusual statistic.
On and off all day yesterday and the day before I could also feel like my heart was going to jump out of my chest and it was comparable to the feeling you get when you're excited or see a hot guy and your heart just "jumps" and you can feel it thumping loudly in your chest.....except there was no emotion to trigger it; I could just feel it beating wildly so I took my BP wondering if my heart rate was high and sure enough: it was 103. My usual is between 63-65 and anything over 100 is considered tachycardia, dangerously high heart rate, the danger zone where heart-attacks and strokes are born.
F*ck.
Last night in bed I also kept having a bad cough too that kept waking me up so I'm probably getting a cold now too although the cough normally comes at the end of the cold, not at the beginning, and so sweaty with my menopause as well I had to take my shirt off again. Either that or a heart-attack is imminent. Oh! I just thought of something completely gross: what if the parasite migrated to my heart, like how happens with dogs who get Heartworm? I did see the cardiologist last YR(I initially went due to my unexplained fainting spells and fluid retention, esp. in my legs, often signs of heart failure) who did a full work-up on me and ran all the standard tests and everything came back OK, so if there is a problem with my heart it's something just recent.....In any case, in case I do die, here are my final last thoughts and words:
Goodbye, cruel world.
Impeach the motherf*cker!
I'll finally be free!!!!!
