My Nose.

I missed my pierced nose. I had it since I was 20(before piercing were even trendy) I had done it myself back then but a few months ago it had become infected so I removed it to let it heal but I missed it and wanted it back now so I tried to insert the stud again but found out noses are not like ears; with earrings even years after the holes close up you can still push the stud thru and it will go in; the hole never closes up completely. Not the same for noses. It closes up. For good. Except for just the top layer but all the thick part on the inside all heals up so I had to re-do it all again. I sterilized it with rubbing alcohol and shoved a fat safety pin thru, all without the benefit of any freezing because I'm a badass like that. I have a high pain tolerance (or so I've been told by medical staff anyway; I have nothing to compare it to; it's just me) and I've been thru natural childbirth and people say gallbladder attacks are the "worst pain ever" and I only rated them a 6/10 on the pain scale so.....

It took me 2 HRS because I kept inserting the pin slowly, to stretch the skin tissues gently. Oddly it didn't really hurt that much until the end; I just kept sneezing alot because my nose didn't appreciate the invasion and the irritation but it only hurt as it passed thru the last few tougher layers of flesh and then it really hurt; white-hot pain I just had to take a deep long breath and push thru, and I felt dizzy it got so bad but I wasn't going this far all for nothing; I had to complete the hole and then I felt and heard a Pop! sound and felt blood running out and I knew it was done but I was surprised though how much that sucker bled though; I don't remember it really bleeding much the first time, maybe a couple of drops but this time it gushed out; a heavy torent that just wouldn't stop(but luckily I had a towel nearby I grabbed) and I had to tilt my head back and I could feel it gurgling down the back of my throat. It was soooo gross. Imagine a heavy nosebleed that lasts 30 minutes or so and you get the idea. I keep putting antibiotic cream on it several times daily to ward off infection but it looks red and stings today but hopefully just because it's fresh and raw and not due to infection setting in but I'm happy with it.

The 16 YR old also dyed her ash blonde hair back to her natural brown(of course my hubby never even noticed either; even when I shaved my head he never even noticed; he never notices anything and you could pluck an eye out and cut off your nose and ears and he wouldn't even notice) only it turned out darker than she wanted- alot darker- almost black and when I first saw her I was like Oh, my God! What did you do to your hair? not that it looks bad or anything, because it doesn't( and now it looks much thicker and shinier) it's just such a drastic change it takes getting used to and I was also afraid she was going Goth like the 23 YR old and will start wearing all black, skulls, chains, dog collars, spikes, etc. now too. She also went downstairs to get something from the freezer and you'll never guess what she found in there - in the deep freezer- : a box of cereal, a mango, a bag of potatoes, pair of socks, fruit cups, and other weird stuff I can't remember! What happened was my hubby told the 12 YR old the other day after grocery shopping to Put this bag in the freezer.....so he did, not bothering to look what was in there and I told him this would be a good example of why you should always think for yourself and question things.

I'm shocked and sad as well to hear that Neil Peart from Rush has died( cancer) and he was just 67,too. They've always been one of my fave. bands ever since I was like 12 and I finally got to see them live in concert a few years ago and now I'm extra glad I did and they're actually one of the very few good bands from Canada (along with April Wine  and Triumph) and I came across the symptoms of Lyme Disease the other day too and it matches my symptoms too, such as headache, extreme fatigue, bad muscle and joint pain, etc. and it made me wonder if maybe that's what I have the past 2 years, the disease they haven't been able to diagnose, and I remember a few years ago I did go to the ER with the distinctive tell-tale "Bull's Eye" rash typical of a tick bite concerned it might be Lyme but they just dismissed it as a "spider bite", saying certain spider bits leave that same Bull's Eye rash too so I thought nothing of it but now it makes me wonder. I know something is causing my issues and I continue to decline and yesterday I was so itchy all over it felt like I had my hair cut and had little hairs poking into my skin everywhere so it must be either my declining liver or kidneys. The 20 YR old's BF's mother has Lyme actually and she's so sick she hasn't been able to work for 6 months and takes even more medications than I do!
