Today we're supposed to get The Big One, that is, the biggest snowfall of the year so far, or rather I guess I should really say of the season, of the winter, since the year is technically only 2 weeks old. We're supposed to get something like 20 cm today but that's still nothing compared to the poor Newfies out East who got a whopping 75 cm and everything's just all been shut down; schools, businesses, etc. and everyone's staying home and it's been declared a State of Emergency and thousands have lost power, and they're used to big blizzards too being on the coast, but this is too much even for them. I took Buddy out for a long walk this morning too(before the snow started) not knowing how cold it still is ( it's supposed to warm up and get near O C before the snow as if it's TOO cold it doesn't snow as stupid as that sounds) and we froze our asses off. As for our snowstorm we just have an emergency advisory and we're to be getting bad winds with it too and a travel advisory with poor visibility and poor driving conditions. I still prefer this over the yucky dull, dreary rain though. At least the snow is pretty and doesn't cause floods like the rain does.
I also heard a radio ad saying Nothing is better than quality high-speed InterNet and I was thinking, Yeah.....good weed and chocolate! and I was thinking of Firsts and Lasts of this new year as well and the first song I put on my iPod this year was The Kinks Destroyer and the last song I just put on recently was Damian Marley's Medication and the first thing I watched was the new Star Wars movie and the last thing was an episode of the TV show Mom, the first book I read of the year was Jagmeet Singh's autobiography and the last book I read was Renia's Diary, the first place I went to in the New Year was church and the last place I went to was Wal-Mart, just the other day. I also know I'm officially old now too because I actually got excited over a new coconut and coffee body wash I got.
