Beja.

If everything goes as planned this should be my new dog we'll be bringing him home tomorrow.

I'll be naming him Beja. (It rhymes with deja, like in deja-vu). I had 3 possible names picked out: Beja, Beekus, and Mushka and I asked my hubby & the boys which one they preferred.....and they ALL picked Beja! No one liked Beekus (even though I think he looks more like a Beekus) and the youngest hated Mushka (even though it means "Little Soul") and at first he even thought Beja was "Bejing" as it does have the same sound at the beginning.

Now I have a new hope and something to live for again..

He comes from a breeder near Ottawa which is over 3 HRS away so I asked if they could meet us part way so we'll be meeting tomorrow(my hubby's off the holiday)  in Perth, a 2 HR drive from here, and when we asked the Google Home Device how far Perth was it said 18K KM,thinking it was the one in Australia! Ha,ha! He is only a year old( and his birthday is 8 April 2024 and Buddy died on 7 April this year, I think is NOT a "coincidence") and he's been rejected  by the breeder( who breeds both Chihuahuas AND Dachshunds, my 2 faves!)as he only has ONE BALL ( "The Uniballer", just like our youngest does and I don't think any "less" of him because of it) and he was supposed to be a stud dog so he was rejected as being "imperfect" and "defective" so I can relate to him, being rejected for being different myself,too.

We will be a great pair!

We'll be meeting at the Tim Hortons and he weighs 4 pounds and hopefully having a Chihuahua around again will also remind me of happy times growing up and I had them and bred them and I just hope that loving Buddy so much that I'm still able to love another dog and in doing so I'm not being "disloyal" to him, and I'd also like to think he's on the Other Side with my mother waiting for me, and last night I swear I heard Buddy walking around my bedroom at night and barking and it really freaked me out. I also listened to the new Billy Idol album Dream Into It even though it doesn't officially come out until the 25th I got it off some guy in Greece, and now kids are also being suspended from school for not being vaccinated, and my friend V ( from grade 6 who I also named my oldest girl after because I love the name) her mother(who lives in Arizona) died but at least my friend has 9 siblings  to help with the burial details,etc. so unlike me, it's not all on her like it was on me when my mother died.
