In just a couple of hours we start on our road trip to pick up my new dog Beja( it rhymes with "Asia"). The 30 YR old said to name him "Dingus" but I declined. I just hope Buddy doesn't think I'm "betraying" him or being "disloyal" to him getting another dog and loving another dog because he'll always be with me and live in my heart forever, and the 30 YR old said ,Do you think he'd rather you be unhappy and alone? I feel a combination of excited and nervous and my stomach's all in knots and tomorrow morning starts a whole new routine and a brand-new start and a new chapter in my life with my new dog and it's sad to realize as well that I've cried much more over losing Buddy than I did when my mother died but he was also my whole world and the only thing I lived for.
The 30 YR old's boss also gave me a sympathy card for Buddy which I thought was really nice, esp. as it acknowledged my grief and Buddy's importance in my life and Beja and I are also both broken and discarded by society for our imperfections but we're perfect for eachother, and I overheard my hubby talking on the phone to someone(about me) too saying, Once she has a dog she'll be happy again but yesterday at first he didn't want to take me to get a new leash and collar but later did( he was too busy with his stuff; chess, pickleball, and squash but the stores are all closed today on the holiday) and said to just re-use Buddy's old one and I told him it's "retired", like how hockey players retire their jerseys.
Respect.

Today is also the last fast for Good Friday and we're supposed to get a really good thunderstorm later in the day(I hope we'll be back by then) and my hubby is now one step higher for jury duty; yesterday he got a bunch of questions to fill out....and also a speeding ticket in the mail as well! It came from one of those automatic speeding things and at first he tried to blame it on the 30 YR old but then he saw the day and street and he goes, Oh, not that stupid street! so basically "outing" himself, and then he grumbles on about how "That isn't speeding!" even though he did 51 KM in a 40 KM zone, ha,ha, and I told him they apparantly think it IS because the doofus now has to pay a 75$ fine! HA!
Yesterday I also saw him bring 2 guys down to the basement and worried they were repairman here to fix something that broke yet again( and no one ever tells me anything) but luckily just for the yearly Culligan inspection, and I only watch one show on TV(plus the news) which just started the season and it only has 6 episodes in total and now I find out it's also the LAST season so now I won't even have anything to watch on TV anymore, and now Israel also says it's going to occupy Gaza, Lebanon AND Syria permantly! Isn't anyone going to stop them before they end up like Nazi Germany?
I’ve always been reminded that everything unfolds in God’s timing, not ours.-Ashfaque Baloch
