The fence is coming along well. It rained on and off yesterday but the 26 YR old said, I'm not sugar; I won't melt. Then in at dinner time( when they'd already finished for the day,anyway) it really started pouring and continued all night and still raining this morning but supposed to end by 9 am and just a bit of drizzle on and off and they think they might even be able to finish it today, or if not for sure tomorrow. It had also fallen down in big "chunks" but they decided to do even more work than necessary by taking off the slabs of wood individually and put them back on one by one even though you'd think it would be much easier to just put the 3-4 big pieces back up. Friday and Saturday everyone is also going in to Toronto to go to the CNE and Fan Expo and then up to London for a few days to visit the 29 YR old and his fiance and the new house they just bought. Of all of the kids he's the first one to have the stable, committed, permanent relationship(engaged and bought a house together) and he was the one my mother worried most about thinking he'd never find a mate so you never know.
The 26 YR old also over-flowed the toilet and water came pouring down thru the ceiling fan/light down to the livingroom below( it normally just does that when someone uses that shower) so we had to put a bucket underneath and he said if I go to India I'd likely get raped and I told him I don't think I really have to worry about that ( at my age) and he goes, I think they like 'em big over there and I was like, Hey!!!! He also really likes Beja and says he's "so cute" and he made this really good Cuban stir-fry( pictured below) with rice, plantain, beans, chicken, peppers, onions, cilantro (my absolute fave. it's like catnip to me!!....actually, it's my second -fave. herb; 'Da Blessed Herb is my fave!) etc. and he shared it with everyone and didn't make us pay like the 30 YR would,either! He's much nicer!
I also heard the cutest thing yesterday at the dance academy across the street: 2 girls were talking and one asked the other for some fairy dust and she replied, I don't collect fairy dust; I just make it. The Air Canada strike is also over as they made a tentative deal and flights are back resuming but it will take a week or so to get back to regular operations so hopefully by the time the 26 YR old goes back to Edmonton he'll be ok. My hubby also complains even though we've had Beja for 4 months now he still goes to the bathroom in the house even though I am training him(it just takes time) and I do put him out to go at least every hour. What more does he expect me to do? Squeeze it out of him?
This is also the last of my sunflowers; this is what started off as a little bud that I never thought would even open but now look at it; the last sole survivor! My mother also visited me in a dream and I can still remember the last thing I said to her before she died: I was leaving after visiting her in the ICU and I said to her, See ya later! but I actually meant in a couple of days( which is when she died) but it actually won't end up being until much, much later; on the Other Side. I also remember her saying earlier, looking back, We had some good times.
