He's here and I went to the CNE yesterday! The 26 YR old( pictured here) is here and I haven't seen him in years and didn't recognize him when he came up to hug me and first of all I was like, Hey, what the f*ck, who is this guy? Isn't he handsome though? I like his hair with the highlights,too. I had a good day despite the crowds( wall-to-wall people!) and the intense heat ( I was just dying but my hubby let me borrow his neck fan which helped to take the "edge" off but waiting for my hubby to pick me up I almost passed out and could even feel my face and hands tingling and started to see the flashing "dots") and getting in my hubby went the wrong way as the regular route was closed down due to a stupid parade and I was somehow able to slip in unnoticed not having to pay( and admission is now 30$!) .... except I got busted! A guy noticed and ran after me Can I scan your ticket? and then directed me to the kiosk to pay. I felt like a criminal and I'm probably going to hell for that. HA!
So I made it to my yearly pilgrimage to the "Ex" I can die happy now.
I looked at the deep-fried pizza for lunch except it was coated in Doritos (ewww!!) and cost 16$ a slice and had this huge line so no thanks and it was actually hard to find poutine; I could find pickle poutine( ewwww again!) and chicken poutine( but it cost 16$ and I'm NOT paying 16$ just for fries!) and then I finally found the right one with the right kind of fries and squeaky curds and "only" 12$ and I was starving by then so I bought it. I also got a piece of chocolate almond ganache(shown below) that cost 10$( expensive, I know, but it's chocolate and it was my yearly treat) and I also got this cute crochet sunflower( shown below) similar to the smaller one I got last year only this year it's much bigger and has a smiley face and I also got a True Religion white long sleeve funky shirt (I have several short sleeve ones) that would normally be over 100$ but I only got for 30$.. I also saw this cool crystal like thing like a rock that had a hologram like photo you could imprint on I wanted to get of Buddy except it cost 80$ which was too pricey so I said forget it.
I also watched 2 amazing shows: a Chinese dance troupe that did the Dragon dance, lotus dance, flower and umbrella dance and also a dance company from India.One of them was wearing a Ganesh/Ganpati mask. He's the dude with the elephant head. I had a good day but it was hot and exhausting but I still didn't let anything ruin it regardless. Today I'm so stiff and sore I could barely even get out of bed and had to soak in a lavender Epsom salt bath. The gov't is also already intervening in the Air Canada strike and Beja was good left on his own all day and did well and I gave him a new toy to occupy him all day and when I came home he was so happy; he kept squealing and whimpering, wiggling, and going flips and wouldn't let me put him down and he just clung to me(it was nice he missed me) and never does that to my hubby or the 30 YR old, even if they're gone for days so I guess I really AM his Person,afterall, and he likes the 26 YR old as well and warmed to him right away and he's like me, a person who connects easily with animals, and he agrees he's a puppy as well and says he has so much energy and "never stops" always zooming around all over; he's like a wind-up toy that you don't even have to wind up, and this morning when we got up he was even cuddling with him in bed and when he arrived he never even barked at him at all; it's almost as if he knew he's part of our pack.
