The fence is coming along well! We had to rent a jackhammer( shown here with the 26 YR old hard at work) to release the cement block and then the holes could be dug and the posts put in. There are also this gigantic tube that looks like a huge toilet paper roll that was cut into 3 pieces and put in the holes with the posts and filled in with cement. That's how far they got yesterday. Every time I hear or see a jackhammer it always makes me laugh as well as my mother would always be reminded of Swackhammer Jackhammer every time she saw a jackhammer that she got from some TV show (I think it was Three's Company )that always made her laugh and always brought it up and now I think of it every time too and it makes me laugh.
The 26 YR old also says he can tell his friends that his client( my hubby) even flew him all the way out to Ontario for a job and I can still remember even when he was a kid and a teen he was always the one that would do what the oldest and the 30 YR old when they were little used to call Man Guy stuff; helping my hubby around the house with hardware, repairs, etc. and now he does construction for a living so I guess it was always his natural talent and interest all along. It's also nice him and my hubby can work on the fence together, too; it's like Old Times and it gives them father/son bonding time.

Yesterday was also the perfect day for the fence as well; not too hot, not humid, and a nice breeze; it also would have been the perfect day for me to go to the CNE ,too( it WAS the original day I wanted to go) and last night the 26 YR old, 30 YR old, his GF, and my hubby also went to play pickleball( my hubby has them all "indoctrinated" now, ha,ha) and the 26 YR old said he built this 40 foot tee-pee made of steel that took 10 days and he showed me a photo and it looked really cool and from the inside it looked like a spiral staircase. It must feel really awesome to be able to make such cool things. He says the architects love to design circular things but they're also much harder to build than the standard rectangular ones. It's also supposed to rain(maybe even storm) today but hopefully not until later evening or night so they can get more work done on the fence.
Maybe we actually will get it done by the end of the summer afterall.....
woo-hoo!

The 26 YR old also has a cat he named Maggie.
Maggie-Waggy after the doll one of the girls had ( similar to the one shown here, which is now vintage and sells for 70$ and I just paid something like 15$ for it back in the day at Toys R Us which is now a relic of the past as well) and I had forgotten all about that actually until he mentioned it and then I remembered it and started laughing: Oh, my god, that was so funny: he would push the doll in its stroller down the stairs and everyone would yell out, Oh, noooooo! Maggie-Waggy! and laugh hysterically. It was one of those things you're not really supposed to find funny or laugh at but you end up laughing so hard you're crying.
I know, we're weird.

There's also a plowing match at a local farm this weekend as well.
Wow.....such "fun" and excitement we have around here, huh?
HA.
