My hubby and I went out for our anniversary( which is today) dinner at an Indian restaurant and pretty well the whole time he was looking down at his phone reading something and I was just left sitting there and at one point I got so fed up I just said to him, If you don't stop fiddling with your damn phone and get in the moment I'm going to eat all the white meat!(off the Tandoori chicken). It was a good dinner otherwise and I hardly ever get to go out to the nice places to eat(McDonald's is about as "pricey" as it gets for me other than on special occasions such as anniversary or birthday) as fancy restaurants are just so expensive, so it was a real treat. Since we were in the local small city for the restaurant anyway we also went to the mall(and now my foot's really, really bad and I can hardly walk and just sort of drag it along behind me) and I got this cool blanket, seen in the photo here, which Buddy also claimed(he's such a ham!) It's just perfect for cuddling up on the couch watching TV; it has weed on it and it says Best Buds on it which also applies to Buddy and I, curled up together, best buddies.
I normally hand-make my hubby's anniversary card (a tradition that originally started one year when I forgot it was our anniversary; the date just somehow crept up on me and I hadn't bought a card so I had to scramble around and make one and he liked it so much I just kept doing it every year since) but we didn't have any markers so once again( in our usual family style) he had to run out to Wal-Mart last minute last night before closing and buy some markers so just this morning I made him the card, just in time, and just so you know, it's always a rude, X-rated(but humourous) card he has to keep hidden from the kids.
