Yesterday I got shot, but not in the way you'd think: my doctor was having a vaccine clinic so I went and got my DPT shot, which you're supposed to get a booster every 10 years as an adult and I haven't had mine in something like 20 years or so, maybe even longer ( I know, isn't that awful? The kids are all up-to-date on theirs but me, not so much) so I went and got it done and it's still a month away until my trip so I figure I still have time if I have any adverse reactions. When I arrived there were 10 people ahead of me waiting in the office and I thought that's not so bad; it won't take that long to vaccinate just 10 people; it's quick.....but even better: most were there to see their doctors, it turned out I was the second one in line for the shots so I hardly had to wait at all( yay!) the longest was staying 15 minutes after in case I had an immediate allergic reaction, which I didn't. It was also a shot in the muscle which I could tell right away due to the deep sting and now I have a bruise.
Since I was at the doctor's office anyway I asked the secretary to leave him a note asking if he can write me a prescription for Dukoral for me trip, even though it's also available without one now it costs 80$ but if I can get it on prescription and my hubby's employee drug card covers it they pay 80% of it so I can at least try, right? The 24 YR old also got hurt(again) at jiu-jitsu and he and his opponent could even hear something crack and for the past few days he's been kept awake and awajened by pain in his rib area and he's nauseated from the pain and I keep telling him if the pain's that bad to go to the ER and get it checked out in case it is something serious, not just a broken rib but maybe it punctured something but so far he hasn't. He also applied for a job at the grocery store the girls work part-time.
My hubby didn't pick up my pills at the pharmacy yet either and me being medicated is really a public service and in their best interest and a gift to them and a gift to society, and my KISS concert ticket still hasn't shown up on his cell phone yet either and he says I probably have to log-in to the new Ticketmaster account I created only I'm not even sure I completed the thing and if I did what the hell is the password, anyway? Shit, everything's always so complicated for me all the time. I liked it better before when you just went down to the box office and picked up your tickets or they mailed them to you. So much easier.
