My hubby said when I go to Jamaica next month he'll open the door and let Buddy loose and then excused he'll just tell me that he died and he's old so it's believable..... except I'll know; we have such a close bond I'll sense something's wrong; I'll just know and I told him if anything does happen to him I'll assume he did something and when I get back I'll set his precious beloved Cosplay costume and Spider-Man collectibles on fire in response. No one hurts someone I love and gets away with it. Then he shrugs it off as he was "just joking" but with him you never know and he did do something similar before; he sold my Pug once before while I was out of the country! I came back from my trip and my dog was gone! I was never even asked or told; I came back and Django(pictured here) was gone. He said a neighbour was complaining about the barking so he put up an online ad and sold him and he even kept all the $$$$ for himself, too.
It just broke my heart. What kind of person does such a thing?
It got me thinking of Things I've learned in Life and want to pass down to my kids:
You can't trust anyone.
Everyone has an ulterior motive.
Those closest to you and that are supposed to love you and have your back are the ones that will hurt you the most.
Eventually everyone you love and care about will betray you.
It's always the ones you least expect.
Most people, if given the opportunity, will lie and cheat if they think they won't get caught.
Safeguard your heart.
Always go with your gut feeling.
Things are never what they seem.
If something sounds too good to be true it probably is.
You only get what you pay for.
Hope for the best but expect the worst.
People are never as they appear.
Everyone has their hidden Dark Side.
Everyone is struggling in some way.
If it comes from a place of love it's from God. If it doesn't, then it's not.
Kindness is never wasted.
Always do the right thing, even if no one is watching.
Don't believe everything you see or hear.
Think for yourself.
You can't help what you feel, only what you do about it.
You can choose your choices but not the concequences.
The truth comes out eventually.
You can't hide from God.
Make love, not war.
God is love.
Ignore the haters.
God loves everyone.
What I hope for my kids:
They find happiness, love, and career satisfaction in life
They know their value and worth and don't let anyone ever convince them otherwise
They find meaning and purpose in life
They can heal and forgive
They come back to God and their faith
They find true love and never sell themselves short or settle for anything less
They never settle in life
