Ana.

Yesterday I saw the anesthesiologist (I call Ana...get it Ana.....anesthesiologist? ha ha) who was a young female doctor in her 30's for a Pre-Op assessment and my app't was an hour later as she was in surgery and it went longer than expected so my BP was high ( 153/90) likely as I was pissed-off and my hubby would be mad making him wait as he had to take time off work to drive me even though it wasn't my fault. It was funny too of all my medical issues( high BP, Alpha 1 anti-trypsin deficiency, kidney and liver failing, possible bladder tumour( and I saw an ad on the wall at the hospital too warning that blood in the urine is the main symptom of bladder cancer! If you see red, see your doctor!) Rheumatoid arthritis, etc. she was most concerned about my RA, esp. when it comes to my limited neck mobility during surgery(even though they'll be working at the other end) due to my neck vertebrae which is often so stiff and sore I can hardly move it or bend it. I would have though the high BP would have been more of an issue! These are the guys that bring you to the brink of death and then monitor you like a hawk to keep you alive and then have to basically bring you back so they can't overlook anything.

It was funny too in the waiting room there was this old lady and her daughter probably in her 60's and the mother was babbling incoherently, worrying the daughter she was having a stroke and she goes, Mom? Are you OK? Are you having a stroke? Do you need help? It's OK; we're in a hospital, surrounded by doctors.... and she then proceeded to run her thru a bunch of stroke "tests" such as raising both arms, sticking out her tongue, touching her nose, etc. and asking her questions like, Do you remember your address? How old is Brenda? etc. and the mother was getting quite annoyed and scolded her, Sheila! Stop worrying about me! I'm fine! it's just a little cancer! 3 People working there also asked if I'd been away and at first I thought it was due to concern out-of-country they always ask for fear you bring in some sort of rare tropical disease or something so I replied, Yeah....in April.... and she said(about my tan) Wow....you stay brown for a long time!  and then I clued in she was referring to my still-dark tan from summer than I still maintain every chance I can sit out in the sun. I also wonder as well with my weakened body and all my medical issues if my body is even strong enough to withstand the rigors of surgery and recovery or if I might die during the process or afterwards, like from a blood clot or whatever. I wouldn't mind though; it could be my shot at being set free....

My hubby also got his test results: thank God the lumps on his arm are NOT cancer but just lipomas like I was hoping; just fatty tissue and he can have it removed if he wanted but he decided he only will it it gets really big or painful because he's a pussy and wimp and hates blood, needles, surgery, etc.I got banned on the online group Quora now as well. Here we go again. I'm such a rebel but I won't be censored, muted, silenced or conform. F*ck 'em.
