Day 8.

It's been exactly 8 days now since I had my surgery even though it seems and feels alot longer, like 3 weeks or so but I guess when you hurt the time drags on and on and seems so long and boring and to take forever. The above photo here is one of my IV sites a week after, see the big impressive bruise I still have? I always get such big bruises like that. The pain had been better but now it's getting worse again so I don't know if I'm starting to get an infection or what or if maybe it's just I'm starting to be up and around more and moving more and doing a bit more and it hurts more I don't know. I can finally stand and walk upright without having to hunch over but I still can't quite bend down or bend over yet. Now the pain in the abdomen feels like really constipated plus sharp twinges and "shooting" pains and down there also feels all swollen and like something's falling out and it stings too and is tender when I sit down so I sat over the toilet and took a mirror to take a look at the part I don't normally look at (gross, you know) and I was shocked how big, gaping and baggy it was; my God it looked like an elephant pussy!

I guess after having 11 kids it's to be expected but I don't know if it always looked like this or if they did something during the surgery as it's this huge gaping hole flapping in the breeze I can even see my cervix thru it and I really don't think that's normal or that I'm supposed to be able to see it like that; practically hanging out like that; I thought it was supposed to be higher up in the anatomy(they took out the uterus and tubes but kept the ovaries and cervix) and there's practically no space at all in-between the vag and my arsehole, either, merely a thin membrane separating the two, and all it will take is one big turd to tear it all into one gigantic unified hole.....oh, my God, and it looks like there might have been stitches there that tore apart causing it to separate and split too which would also explain the pain......holy shit....I don't know why it would  tear considering biologically speaking it's designed to birth a 10 pound human baby and I have popped 11 of them out, some requiring cutting and stitching( just the first couple and then they just sort of slid out) but most of them not once it all got stretched out...

One of my cousins in Europe also had hernia surgery yesterday as well, a week after I had mine and if I had to guess I'd say of all surgery probably the most common place for it would have to be the abdomen considering all the organs that are there and potential things that can go wrong and that need to be fixed or removed...the 18 YR old is also doing well on her Mid Terms and getting all grades in the 80's and 90's. I can't believe Christmas is so soon either, next month and what I would really like is if all the kids (incl. the Edmonton Boys who I haven't seen in a few years) all were able to come up and visit and have it be like Old Times with all the kids here for a real Family Christmas and what my mother hopes for is to be able to have the dinner catered at a hotel or banquet hall or somewhere where we can just go, eat, relax and enjoy without having to do any cooking or clean up but there's no way we have $$$$ to be able to afford anything like that anymore.
