I feel like a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog( pictured here) as I've always had this weird part of my hair that stands out and sticks out and that seems to grow in the opposite direction of all of the other hair and I hate it! It's right at the front too, on both sides so it's really noticeable and hard to hide so what I have to do is just trim it down so it's next to nothing and the rest of the hair just hides it or when it's just shaved into a Buzz cut it doesn't grow long enough to even notice. I've only seen a Rhodesian Ridgeback once in my entire lifetime too but I recognized it right away by the distinct line of fur down it's back that goes in the opposite direction . It was a few years ago at some outdoor food truck festival and they're a fairly uncommon rare breed( or at least around here anyway) and not something you'd see too often, one of those rare maybe once-in-a-lifetime things, like when I saw hummingbirds(just twice) and I saw a couple of woodpeckers just this morning too; I first heard them actually and recognized the sound so I looked up in the trees for them and spotted them identifiable by their distinct tuft of feathers on the top of their head. I've also seen the odd hawk, falcon and eagle but those really freak me out because they're predators that often pick off small dogs from their yard for prey and so I have to keep an extra close eye on Buddy esp. with him being old, slow and an easy target.
Buddy's gums are better now as well and I notice he's lost another bottom tooth and now there's this big deep hole where the tooth once was so I guess that was all the bleeding, just dental decay, and now it's settled down his gums are back to hard once again and not all squishy like they were before but he has 3 other bottom teeth that are really loose and wiggly and almost to the point of falling out and they bother him and he keeps flicking his tongue in and out no doubt as itfeels weird and he knows there's something weird-feeling in there so I put some soothing Baby Anbesol gel on his gums to numb it that you give teething babies and it worked as he stopped the licking and looked up at me and wagged his tail as if thanking me. No problem my sweet boy; I would do anything for you; I would even give my life for you. As for my pain, my back and abdomenal pain is the worst it's ever been and just keeps getting worse and so bad I try to barf from the pain but just end up dry-heaving and when I close my eyes I even see a bright white flash of pain and I double-over and feel like I'm going to pass out and even when I just cough or strain to go to the bathroom the pain shoots thru me and now I also feel painful "twinges" in my "cooch" and ass every time I sit down, too, almost as if it's spreading or migrating. Ugh!
Yesterday the 13 YR old also went toboganning with 4 friends and I remember when my friend D and I used to go it was so much fun I loved it. I still do but if I went now it would kill me with my arthritis and all my other medical issues and with my shortness of breath I would have a heart-attack and wouldn't even be able to make it walking up the hill once and I think diabetes must be genetic on my mother's side of the family as well as not only does she have it but my cousin on dialysis does as does his father( also on dialysis and in kidney failure) and so does his aunt, and so does his other aunt's granddaughter, who had it ever since she was a little kid, too, like 4 years old and has the insulin pump and those are just the ones that I know of; there might even be more.
Today it's a cold -12C but tomorrow and the next 3 days are supposed to be a balmy 12C so I'll be able to sit outside with Buddy and get some sun and fresh air(and some vitamin D) and I think it's strange as well how the 21 YR old has met her BF's parents(and I don't have to worry that his father will "disapprove of him dating a White girl(as he's Chinese) since he himself married one!) already and they've only been dating for a few months yet the 24 YR and her BF have been dating for years and he's still hasn't introduced her to his parents yet and I'm pretty sure I know(or can at least guesss) why: he probably knows they(being Jehovah's Witnesses) won't approve of her all-black creepy Goth clothing and look, with skulls, chains, spikes, upside-down crosses, dog collars, etc.(I don't approve, either!!) and every time I tell the 13 YR old to do something, such as his schoolwork or his chores or have a shower( you know, being a mother and just doing my job) he screams at me to shut-up or to go kill myself, and yesterday was such a wonderful day as there were NO kids at all at home; they all went out somewhere, either to work or out with friends and it was soooo nice and peaceful and quiet and someday soon it will be like that every day once they've all grown up and moved out. Only 2 more left to go....
It's the little things in life that bring you the most joy.
