Today is Bob Marley's birthday! I don't know how old he would have been as I can't do the math but he was born in 1945 and he died in 1981 so I guess somewhere in his 70's? He was only 36 when he died, so young, too young, but he lives on thru his music, which is eternal,and he is a legend. It's also my former sister-in-law's wedding anniversary,too; she married her second husband today and in Jamaica,too! When I was in Jamaica I also went to the Bob Marley museum and I also saw his old house and went to his mausoleum and it felt so spiritual, so "magical" to just be there in his presence, but I was surprised how hot it was in there; for some reason I expected it to be cold, you know, to preserve the body and all, but it was stifling hot. My friend W(from Ottawa) was even lucky enough to see him live in concert years ago( and Peter Tosh, too!) the lucky bastard! Long live Bob Marley! Happy birthday Bob 'mon!
This weekend the Freedom Rally and protest is even bigger in Ottawa(and now also in several other cities across the country,too, the movement and momentum is growing!) and the resisdents whine about all the noise but they forget that everyone in the entire country has suffered for the past 3 years under tyrannical restrictions, lockdowns, mandates, etc. and some noise is a small price to pay in order to get our freedom and our lives back, and the police chief called it a "siege" even though it's just peaceful people singing and dancing and parading in the street waving flags and in the Toronto protest even farmers have joined in with their tractors,too, and the 2 groups of people the gov't really doesn't want to piss off are the truckers and the farmers since they are the ones that supply and deliver our food and other supplies yet they still stubbornly refuse to listen to the people and threaten to break up the protests using heavy-handed methods like calling in the military (proving they really are tyrants) but once you're already oppressed you've got nothing to lose and they're NOT leaving until all mandates are lifted and will continue to fight for our freedom,and, if we're lucky, for a "bonus", maybe Trudeau will resign,too?
It was also sooo cold out yesterday my lighter froze and someone walking by the front of our house walking their dog saw me smoking weed sitting out on my front veranda and said they were "offended" so I told her, It's medicinal, and I have a medical prescription,and it's legal, and I can do whatever I want on my own property! Someone should just mind her own business,and she can kiss my ass,too, and some people can just be sooo nosey,and I normally do it in the backyard but now there's so much snow out there I can't shovel it away to make enough room for my chair but the front has shelter, and besides, I don't need anyone's "permission" to do anything on my own veranda,anyway, and my hubby was also complaining how he hates always having to do errands for my mother and I even though neither of us drive and that's just part of being a family and she and I contribute the most financially so he can at least help out in other ways, and it scares me I likely don't have too much time left with Buddy now he'll be turning 16 and it's sad too to realize that I only ever get to love people for a short time and then they're gone,and once he's gone I'll have no one, and according to the kids anyway I'm good at having kids but not so good at raising them even though I had good intentions and meant well; I just fail at everything but I am sorry and I'd take it all back if I could.
