I was reading about the Bermuda Triangle the other day, and how for centuries planes and ships have mysteriously gone missing and just vanished; disappeared and no one knows why, perhaps some sort of magnetic field, a portal to the netherworld somewhere, a gate to hell, another plane, realm, planet, dimension, etc. I remember as a kid being fascinated by it(as well as with such things like earthquakes and quicksand and for some reason thought that they were going to be a much bigger deal than they actually really were) and it's a triangle-shaped area between Florida and Puerto Rico incl. Caribbean islands esp. Bahamas and Turks and Caicos, both of which I have been to twice each, both flying and sailing, as well as several other Caribbean islands and I have never had a problem or any issue of any kind, and,in fact, at the time never even gave it a second thought or even remembered about the Bermuda Triangle at the time, which, I suppose, was probably a good thing. Now the consensus is that it's most likely nothing more than an urban legend and that the missing planes and ships were most likely lost to natural disasters,a fact that seems to be backed up as now with modern navigation and radar thousands of planes fly over that area every single day and ships sail on it as well all without incident. it is pretty interesting though when you think about it and the history and stories behind it.
I also found out about a singer named Jerry Lee Lewis, who was one of the pioneers of Rock & Roll at the same time of Elvis Presley in the 1950's except his career was pretty much destroyed over a scandal in 1957: when he was 23 he married( already his third marriage, if you can believe it, at 23, and he went on to be married a total of 7 times; he's like the male version of Elizabeth Taylor!) his 13 YR old cousin(pictured here) causing a scandal, and I'm not sure which is worse ; that he married his cousin or that she was only 13! They were married for 10 years and had 2 kids( 1 who drowned at age 3) and she said he was abusive in every way possible(and she does look unhappy in the photo) and they are now both still alive, her in her 70's and him in his 80's and it ruined his career and reputation so he went into redneck country music instead, I guess because the dumb hillbillies don't care and probably most of them are married to kids or relatives themselves! I found it absolutely disgusting, shocking, and horrifying though, esp. for back then in the 50's when society in general had better morals and values! I also heard Prince William is now 40 and I can still remember watching when his parents got married(my mother, my friend, and I ogt up really early, due to the time difference and layed out on the pull-out sofa/bed and watched it live on TV) and now that makes me feel really old !
I think I also know what caused Buddy to have diarrhrea and bleeding yesterday(he's better now): the spicy Buffalo chicken he ate the day before, so no more spicy Buffalo chicken for him anymore, and it's kind of "funny" how before I used to wonder if his friends' hooman might think I'm "weird" when he turned out to be a trans man which would be considered "weird" too so I guess we're all "weird" in our own way and everyone is "weird" in some way,and I put my shorts on backwards again too and my shoe on the wrong foot; I'm such a loser, and the 23 YR old was talking about our homeschooling on her podcast as well and she said she only had textbooks up until grade 4 and then online work that my hubby marked but in actual fact it was me that taught them with textbooks right up to grade 8 (except I only did math up to grade 6 and then my hubby took over) and then they started the online stuff, and it hurts that I never get "credit" for the work and effort I did,and I'm just always overlooked, ignored, and even though now with all my medical issues I don't do much anymore they act like I never did anything ever and forget all the stuff that I did used to do, and when they were younger it was me that did all the hard "grunt" work with the baby and child care(plus I also did all the cooking and cleaning while my mother and hubby worked, too) and the homeschoolong, and teaching the basics of learning how to read and write and do phonics etc. is the hardest part, setting the foundation!
A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.-Kurt Vonnegut
