Here's my mother after her new haircut yesterday. I think she looks like the Queen as she has her same hairstyle, Usually she has it much shorter, closer to her head, not much longer than mine and this time it's fancier, too, with a bit of curl! I call her Queenie ( or secretly in my head The Queen of Mean) and I can remember her saying either her grandmother or great-grandmother(one or the other ) was nick-named Queenie although I don't know the reason behind it and pretty much though most old white ladies sort of look alike. She's also supposed to see her doctor this morning assuming she got the time right this time but they normally call the night before to remind her and they didn't yesterday so who knows...She also often drops her pills on the floor which is dangerous if Buddy snuffles along and eats it so I'm always having to pick them up and she ran him over with her walker the other day too in a rush to get to the bathroom before she shit her pants( she didn't make it) and he yelped and needed extra hugs, cuddles and love from me afterwards, the poor guy.
Here he is yesterday as well, soaking up the sunshine and just enjoying himself. Even though he does have painful days he still does also have good days like this too where he enjoys being alive and looks blissful basking in the warmth of the sun. Now he's old he limps along ever so slowly too and when he was younger he used to race around the house wildly and had so much energy and now all he does is sleep all day but he(like me) still loves being outside and feeling the sun and breeze. This morning I could also see my breath when I took him out and I thought it was 10 C but it was really only 5 C so that explains it and I think they might be close to finishing our road and putting down the asphalt soon too as now it's all rough and now they say the average ER wait is 20 HOURS due to staff shortages so I don't think I'll ever be going there ever again and I'd rather die than wait that long, and, in fact, if you went with a heart-attack, stroke, GSW, stabbing, car accident, etc. you likely would die anyway having to wait that long, and my friend who arrived in Cuba just before the hurricane said power went out awhile the first night but was restored and I assume the resort would have back-up generators and my friend in Tampa said he's not in the area that got evacuated so hopefully he'll be ok...
God ain’t done with me yet.-Lecrae
