My hubby got back late last night(he had fun) and they actually let him back over the border( ha,ha) and on the weekend the 28 YR old also went to a Jamaican/Asian "fusion" restaurant in Oshawa with his jiu-jitsu friends( he also was able to teach!) and he brought back these(in the photo above) and gave them to me( and for free; I didn't even have to pay him!) as he didn't really like them but I love them! He said they're Jamaican, an appetizer that starts with "P" he thought but when I was in Jamaica I've never seen them and to me they seemed and tasted more Indian; they were deep-fried "dough-y" balls that had the colour of tumeric inside and had a curry taste and were a bit spicy so I'm not sure exactly what they were but they sure were good! He also gave me the rest of a trifle he had(he's extra nice to me lately!) and I scooped some on a spoon and said, Here you go, try some of this! and my mother actually thought I was giving it to her( a diabetic who is always cheating on her diet!!) but no way; I was giving it to Buddy! I'm also such a stooge I can never tell which way is width and which way is length when laying down a blanket in bed or just to cover myself up on the couch and I think the thing about autism that bugs me the most is the clumsiness and awkwardness of it; always dropping things and bumping into things and knocking things over and making me look like a fop.
I also came across these old photos the other day; this one of Buddy when he was younger, back when we first got him when he was 8 years old( he's 17 now) and it's shocking how much he's aged and how old he looks now and I'd forgotten how young he used to look in comparison, and the photo below from about 5 years ago of me and Patti's dog, who is also Buddy's Baby Mama and I read the dumbest thing ever yesterday, too: people pay 30-50$ a day to send their dogs to "Doggie Daycare" and that's for people who have more $$$ than brains and proves that there's a sucker born every minute; don't they know that they're dogs and NOT babies and that they can be left home alone? I also realized from the neck up my mother looks like Grumpy Cat and from below the neck like E.T with her round tummy and thin arms and legs but also all wrinkly and saggy skin.HA! Today I also have this weird pulsing, beating, throbbing and vibrating feeling in the big vein on the left side of my neck that's actually really creepy I have no idea what it is but one thing I always do is survive.
I also flipped hearing the crown King Charles was crowned with cost a whopping 3 billion $$$ with all the jewels in it, another sign of Imperialism and Colonialism excess and exploitation and now they mock his "sausage fingers" at least the good of it is now they no longer make fun of his big ears anymore, and sad too seeing Prince Harry sitting all alone away from the rest of the family, isolated, and I know exactly how he feels as I'm the "Prince Harry" of my family, too; the one that sits separate away from the rest, that doesn't fit in, that isn't welcome, the outcast, the outsider, that stands out, not included, the Black Sheep. My hubby also really enjoyed his weekend away but said food was expensive at the hotel in a tourist area so he went to a grocery store and even though groceries are cheaper in USA than here( much more so) with the 40% exchange rate on the $$ compared to our $$$ he ended up paying more but he still had a nice time and needed the break esp. with all the over-time he's been doing at work lately.
