Yesterday as Buddy and I were heading out the back door onto the back porch I saw this big husky standing on the steps near the pool staring at me thru the gate(luckily our porch is fenced) and at first I just panicked on instinct and thought it was a wolf (and then realized it was a dog)and my internal alarm bells went off, Big animal in our yard! Predator! Danger! so I quickly rushed Buddy back inside the house and shut the door worried first and foremost that he was in danger of being attacked, not even thinking about my own safety or being scared and then I went after the dog, chasing it out of the yard because, well, we wanted to enjoy being out in our yard, and we couldn't with a big dog running around loose in there, so I shooed it away, wondering how it got in there, and I chased it off and saw the back gate was open, probably when the furnace guy was here the day before to clean the A/C he left open and so the dog ran out( likely the same way it got in) and then I heard someone calling it from the street, probably its hooman, but my question is why was it running around loose in the first place and NOT on a leash? That's exactly why though I never leave Buddy alone in the yard unsupervised because you never know what might get thru the fence and attack him, a coyote, a hawk,a loose dog, or whatever.
Then later on in the day I also saw the back-end of a grey black and grey ring- tailed animal I thought looked like a raccoon from what I could see even though it was in the daytime and they don't normally come out until night but then when I looked closer I could see that it was a cat but I hate cats even more than raccoons so I chased it off and my hubby e-mailed me yesterday and said he drew his first round in the chess tournament but I haven't heard anything since and he'll be back later sometime tonight and we got a call the other day on the answering machine(I don't know if I told you or not) and the answering machine call display instead of showing a phone number said SCAM LIKELY and I thought that was pretty smart and yesterday I had a weird headache all day with aching ears and today it feels like I have this big lump stuck in my throat and last night in bed I felt twinges in my chest and my last thought as I contemplated possibly dying was Oh, shit, I left my patio cushions out and when it eventually rains they'll get wet because no one will think to bring them in....
Later today the 16 YR old also goes camping with his friend(he's also homeschooled so it's flexible like that) and his family only they go in a camper my hubby scoffs isn't 'real' camping and my cousin camps in her fancy decked-out RV (my hubby calls Glamping, or "Glamorous" camping)but my other cousins when I went camping with them as a kid( and also when I went with the YMCA group in Ottawa) we camped like real Bush People just in tents and sleeping bags and I had to shit in the woods and bathe in the lake, and my mother even gave him 100$ to take with him as "spending money" too even though where is he going to go and do with it out camping out in the middle of nowhere but he's her fave.( replacing the second oldest years ago) and I also thought of this: with Prince William's kids when their teachers ask all the students tomorrow What did you do over the weekend? no one will be able to "top" their answers: We went to our grandfather's Coronation!
