NOTE: I know the photo here has yucky raisins in it and let me explain: that's because the original recipe had them in it but raisins are disgusting(and nothing but humiliated grapes) and I would never defile my rice pudding with those nasty little things so I omitted them from the recipe.
Trust me, it's much better without them( otherwise you have to go thru the trouble of picking them out) but do what you want. If you actually like raisins just put them in.
Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding
Ingredients
2/3 c. Minute Rice
2 3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
cinnamon
Directions
First step : Combine Minute Rice, milk & , sugar, butter, salt, vanilla & nutmeg in a buttered 1 quart baking dish.
Second step : Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 h, stirring after 15 mins & again when pudding is done.
Third step : Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Finally step : Serve warm or chilled. Pudding thickens as it stands.
