He's Alive!!

This is my fave. ornament on the Christmas tree.
The 30 YR old *FINALLY*  came home, around 7 pm, thank God!
I was just soooo worried that he was dead as he'd left last night and he still hadn't come home and we hadn't heard from him since.
I was so frantic with worry and he never tells us where he's going or who his friends are ( all the kids have always been secretive and sneaky and hid things from us) so I had no idea if he just stayed over at a friend's house( likely his GF) or was laying dead somewhere, and my hubby blamed me, saying *I* "made it worse"(yeah, I know, everything is always my fault and I always make everything worse) by NOT letting him "Get It On" with his putanas here, as our house is NOT a bordello, but he can at least let us know that he won't be back until the next day so we won't be expecting him or worry and so we can arm the security system for the night, knowing he won't be coming back. My hubby even sneered to me, It's either that( him sneaking his putanas in ) or you have to worry. but it's NOT appropriate for him to be doing in our house so and I have no problem with his staying over at his GF's place; I just want to know that he's safe and that he won't be coming back until the next day.

I was so worried I was going to file a Missing Person's report with the police if he didn't come back soon(and I know he has Dungeons & Dragons tomorrow with his group too so if he's not back for that  then I know something must  be wrong!) but they won't look into it for an adult until they're missing for  at least 24 HRS to which my hubby asked me if I have a recent photo of him for the cops(which I do) and my heart just sank at the possibility.

So, he just comes casually waltzing in, happy as can be( yeah, I bet I know why...😜) totally oblivious how worried I was and he dismissed as, That sounds like a YOU problem and I said he could have at least called  and let us know he was staying overnight so we wouldn't worry he said he doesn't have a phone....well, doesn't his GF have one? Surely someone must have a phone he can use? He also said his GF often comes to "'Da Club" and hears him singing his Karaoke which I think is nice, and I'm just so glad and relieved that he's OK but it would  have been nice of him to TELL me he wouldn't be back until later today though.
Now I know why I have such  high BP,too: it's from having kids!!!!

Buddy also got to see his Friends Gidget, Gus,  and Jordy and he's old and blind and can't see but he still knew it was them by the scent and he was so happy and excited and was wagging his tail, and I heard a great new insult as well:
If you had a brain-eating bacteria it would starve.

But as I get older, the amount of time and energy I can spend worrying about it, or taking steps to meet unspoken expectations dwindles.-Angela Bingham
