Feliz Navidad.

Merrry Christmas!
Happy Birthday Jesus!

I know you'll find peace
In that silent night
You ran the good race
You fought the good fight-Tom Cochrane

So far it's just Beja and I awake, still nice and peaceful and quiet. He got a Christmas stocking as well( shown near the bottom) filled with doggie toys such as plushies, chewies, and squeakies, and my hubby did stockings for the youngest and I as well, just in cloth shopping bags,half-assed, as we can't find the stockings but at least they were red bags, so a bit festive, and I got this cute little sunflower thingy sort of like Lego (shown below) but that needs assembling I totally suck at so he'll have to end up doing, and some incense sticks( even frankensence and myrrh! How appropriate!), a bunch of chocolate, most of it good, but also with a few crappy ones like Hersheys (that tastes like soap) and Caramilk so I just picked those out and gave them away. At least I wasn't disappointed though because I wasn't expecting too much of anything and I also realize too that it's part my problem, too, because I'm never satisfied and always have to find something to complain about (ha,ha)but I also realize it and I'm working on it.

It's sad though missing my mother and Buddy though, our first Christmas without them(and in 3 more days it's exactly a year since she died) and also their first Christmas on the Other Side( and Christmas was also always my mother's fave. holiday as well) but it's also our first Christmas with Beja and I like to think my mother and Buddy are celebrating together on the Other Side and I wish I was with them.
Everyone who has ever loved me is all on the Other Side now.

I also got this weighted blanket from my hubby for my gift which is supposed to be a sensory/ comforting thing for autistic folks like me  but it weighs 15 pounds and will squish poor Beja(who only weighs 6 pounds or so) so I have to make sure he doesn't go under it but rather stays on top of it. My hubby also picked up the 2 pumpkin pies yesterday from our friend's bakery and the line was sooooooooo long he had to wait 45 minutes and it went all the way down the street! We also barely have any snow now but we're supposed to get a big snowstorm tomorrow.
A day late.
Thanks alot.

Yesterday was also garbage pick-up day but no one else had theirs put out.....except for us and my hubby asked why and I replied, I dunno....maybe they're dummies and forgot today's garbage day? ...only it turned out that we were the dummies; apparantly they switched pick-up day( and next week, too) to a day earlier (even though the holiday isn't until today and tomorrow!) only we never got the memo so it had to get all hauled back up on the veranda for another week (I would have just left it there)and then we'll have sooooo much it'll be over-flowing.
Shit.

Yesterday it also took me all day( from 7 am to 3pm) to do laundry not only as there was so much but it wasn't working; it wouldn't drain and spin and it was all sopping wet so I re-did 3 more times and the machine said EU on it I have no idea what the hell that means( the only EU I know is the European Union) so I dug in to rearrange the load in case it was uneven.....and to my surprise found 2 big pillows hidden at the bottom!
WTF?
So that's what it was! The youngest (jn all his wisdom)had thrown them in there with his crap when he cleaned his room and they absorbed all the water so it couldn't properly drain, or spin so I took them out and it was ok but I was really worried for awhile there that he had broken the machine!

All in all, it's been a rocky road Twists and turns along the way But I still pray for tomorrow All my hopes, my dreams don't fade away Don't fade away.-Whitesnake
