LRT.

Winter has not been kind to my big garden gnome( he goes up to my knees). He died and I found him like this, face-down in the snow(most of which has melted with the mild temps and now it looks like March, like early spring) so I picked him back up and placed him upright again but it was just the saddest thing seeing him like that. Luckily his friend( shown below) did better and all the little ones are still frozen stuck to the ground. Today and tomorrow it's 4 C but then a deep-freeze is coming and back to more seasonal.

In Toronto they also have this LRT which is sort of like a streetcar I used to think meant Light Rail Transit but actually means Light Rapid Transit which ended up to be a joke because it took forever to get up and running and now the trains are so slow even the buses are faster, but for me I made up LRT is Beja: Little Rat Thing! He's so cute watching him walk too on his dainty little feet; he trots like a prancing pony and reminds me of a woman wearing high-heel shoes,  and when I was younger I also used to wonder if when women got old if they suddenly developed a taste for Old Lady style and yesterday I got the answer: I saw an ad for Old Lady style shoes and I said, Ewwwww! I'd never wear those ugly-ass old lady shoes!! so I guess the answer is no, or at least in my case, anyway.

My hubby also said all the "good" players have left the original pickleball place and went over to the new, better place, except it's also waaaaay more expensive, too, 1200$ a year which he can't afford( but they're all rich and own businesses so it's no problem for them' "pocket change" he says) so now he's left at the old place with only a few people left, the "crappy" , and poor players as he says, but that's all he can afford, and he said the 31 YR old told him he's off all his social media now as well so he can concentrate on his studies  so he must really be serious about it and I find admirable, and yesterday was such a weird day it felt like it was moving in "slow motion" for some reason and at 8:30 am it felt like it must already be past Noon, and it really makes me wonder if USA's end goal is to take over the entire North and South America, and it's odd; sometimes I miss my mother and yet other times I don't; I guess it depends on whether or not I think about the good times or the bad, and tomorrow is the normal garbage and recycling pick-up day as well and I have no idea anymore when they do it so it'll just get put out tonight and they pick it up whenever and if they don't pick it up tomorrow we'll just leave it there until they do.
Whatever.

I also wish the old-fashioned natural wood in our house(built in 1917) on the doors, frames, baseboards, windows, wainscotting, etc. hadn't been painted over with the ugly white paint and that there was some way that we could somehow get the paint safely removed to restore and reveal the original wood underneath without ruining it and bring it back to its natural beauty, and there's this guy who wanted to be a hockey player as well but they told him he "wasn't a good enough skater".... and now he's going to the Winter Olympics as a figure skater, so never let other people limit you, put you in a box, or tell you what you can or can't do.
