Yesterday we got the *BEST* yummy pumpkin goodness of all:
PUMPKIN PIE!
We got it from our friend's bakery. We normally get it for Thanksgiving which is next week but my hubby will be away at a chess tournament so we got a week early, this week instead but it works out as next weekend the line-up for the bakery will be blocks long like it is every holiday with everyone lining up to get their pumpkin pies. We used to get 2 of them but now with my mother and the 31 YR old no longer here it's just the youngest and I that eat it now so we just got one.
it's just sooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooood and my all-time fave. pie ever and the BEST pumpkin food ever, too!
Yesterday the youngest went out to get a hair cut as well but when he came back he didn't look any different; it was still just as long and shaggy and unkempt so I have a suspicion that he just said he was getting it cut but really just hung around in town for awhile and then came back but never actually went to the barber but my hubby said he thinks he got his bangs trimmed.
HA!

I finally got that photo I wanted of our pretty leaves, and heard Stairway To Heaven yesterday and both then and today my abdomenal pain is really bad and so is my cough and inside my left ear also aches. I also found the strangest thing in the laundry: one latex medical glove(I have no idea who THAT belongs to or where it came from and why there was only one!) and sitting outside kept smelling a very strong vanilla smell, too, so either a neighbour was burning a candle or was doing laundry with those scented beads or dryer sheets or someone was cooking vanilla cake or cupcakes but whatever it was it sure smelled really good. Beja also smelled weed outside and perked up, recognizing the scent and then automatically looked at me but then he looked puzzed as I wasn't smoking anything and I told him, "I'm NOT the only one that smokes weed around here, you know!"

My hubby also picked up these mango chips thinking I might like them and boy, do I ever!
They were just sooooooo gooood and they tasted exactly like dried mango, only sliced really thin and they crunched, too!
Oooooh, soooooo good and I hope I can find more and it wasn't just one of those clearance items I'll never find again with my luck.

I also found this model plane in a bucket which one of the kids made years ago, I assume for a Cadets project and to me I think it looks like a Japanese WWII plane. I really like it and think whoever did it did a good job so I saved it and it's now displayed on a table. I still laugh as well remembering the now 23 and 25 YR olds when they were younger saying how One Direction will end up more popular than the Beatles and will last for decades longer(ha,ha, I know) and now look....
hahahahahahahahaha!
I told you so!!!!!

I was surprised as well to see how fancy cigarettes in China are and with fancy packages too. Here they come in packs with photos of rotten teeth and black lungs etc. and cost something like 25$ a pack I think it's up to now( in China something like just 7$) and it's funny as well how opposite my hubby and I are, too: we like different music, he likes squash and pickleball ,board games and video games and I couldn't care less, he loves math and science and I hate it(although I do like biology) he can only speak 1 language and I can speak several, I love travelling and he doesn't, he likes sports and I don't, he likes redneck stuff and I don't, I like opera, ballet, etc. and he doesn't, he needs to have the spices all lined up and labelled on the spice rack but I just toss them all in the drawer,he lines up everything perfectly, measured out and "just so" but for me good enough is good enough, and even with toilet paper: he's a "folder" and I'm a "scruncher", etc. and he also puts the toilet paper roll on backwards, too, and never replaces a roll when he uses it up... yet somehow we've still endured after all these decades...
