Christmastime.
I can't believe there's just a few days left until Christmas. It just doesn't look, feel, or seem like it. We've had mild temps (like 8 C) and lots of rain which has melted away all the snow and we don't have our tree up in the livingroom yet (we're waiting for the 22 YR old and her BF to come up on the 22nd to put it up as he's never done one before, not ever celebrating Christmas) and it seems more like October or something, not late December, and certainly not that close to Christmas. Therefore, I'm not really in the spirit yet and I was "late" (that is, later than usual, late for me) sending out my online Christmas "cards" and I still don't yet feel "Christmas-y", not without the snow and the tree but I'm still hoping it gets colder and we get the snow in time and there's still a few days left for my Christmas miracle. God, are you listening?
The 19 YR old friend's came up to visit her while she's home over the holidays as well. He lives in Toronto and is studying to be a pilot. He's her oldest friend and they've been friends since they were 12 and first met at Cadets camp. That's the same and my BFF S and our mutual friend F (both who I'm going up to visit on the 26th) we've been friends since we were 12,too. There just seems to be something extra-special about the friends we have when we're 12, something that lasts a lifetime.
