Yesterday was just an amazing glorious day; it was finally nice and warm like summer: it got to 23 C with a humidex of 28 C! I was outside all day(of course!) and in the sun for 3 HRS getting a tan, or rather, keeping up with the tan I already got in Jamaica, so I don't fade away. This is more like it, finally some nice, decent warm weather worthy of May, like we're supposed to get, and enough of the rain and the cool temps. I also finally put the window A/C in my bedroom window and we had the first BBQ of the season too, and this long holiday May weekend is when we usually do, unless, of course, it rains. We were supposed to get a bad storm last night as well and I don't know if we did or not as I was asleep but it was wet this morning and all yesterday and still today I have this awful headache like I always do when the air pressure drops before it rains so maybe we did and I just missed it? I do love a good thunderstorm during the night though when I'm all snuggled down comfy in bed. Buddy doesn't though; it scares him and he shakes, whines, and hides under my bed.
Here are my sunflower seedlings, too, 3 weeks old. 7 out of the 12 I'd planed sprouted, so better than last year so far where only 6 did, so that's just over a half survival rate. It's kind of like a science project: plant 12 seeds and see how many percent out of that survive and track their progress. Not for me though, I just want sunflowers! In church yesterday too the deacon finished off his Homily with....and we won't know the true extent of God's love until we get to Calvary..... and at first I could have sworn he said Calgary and I'm sitting there like, What? Wait a minute.......who's going to Calgary? HA!
