Family Day.

Today is Family Day, at least here in Ontario anyway, a day off work where people are encouraged to spend time with their families. Too bad it can't be with someone else's family though and you can't trade families but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't work like that and it has to be with your family. I wish I could be adopted into another family andf spend Family Day with them. I bet they'd treat me alot better. Our plans were to go out to eat for lunch; one group ( my hubby and the 12 YR old) at Pizza Hut and the others ( my mother, the 25 YR old, and I) at the Chinese buffet ( the 16 YR old's still in Vancouver but she'd normally come to the buffet with us) and everyone was looking forward to it too......and then my hubby has to come along and ruin it for everbody by getting called-in to work today even though he's supposed to have the day off, you know, to spend time with your family for Family Day, like we'd planned and were all looking forward to, and then he says he won't be able to take us out to eat afterall.......

No f*cking way!

So then my mother suggests how about we order-in instead but we were all looking forward to going out  and esp. those of us for the buffet, and it's cheaper too and you get way more; one order-in meal costs the same as the buffet and you only get one thing, as opposed to the buffet where you get like 12 or more items and you can go back and get re-fills and really feed your fat face, plus they have desserts too......there's no substitution.......f*ck that....so what we probably have to end up doing hopefully instead( but still not as good as our original idea as my mother really wanted the Chinese buffet but we can't leave the 12 YR old alone and he wants the pizza) is my mother ends up being dropped off at the pizza place with the 12 YR old and just the 25 YR old and I go to the buffet and my hubby goes back to work and just misses out and picks us back up later. That still sucks compared to our original family plan but at least we still get to eat and only he misses out and it's because of him it happened anyway so why should the rest of us suffer? Our family sucks anyway though and we can't even all agree on the same place to go eat  together, always a house divided and I'm so tired of the whole lot of them and just want to start over.

UPDATE:

It ended up working out ok; we got to go to the Chinese buffet ( and I joked my Fortune Cookie said I'll get Coronavirus and die) and the others went for pizza; my hubby never got called-in to work afterall so our Family Day was saved.
