The night before last my mother really really wanted a Burger King chicken sandwich, like the one pictured here; she was so obsessed with it, craving it like a prego woman and it was all she would talk about and how she wanted my hubby when he came back( he was out shopping) to go to BK and pick one up for her snack but when he got back he had already picked up pizza for everyone for a snack at Pizza Nova instead and when she found out(and that he wasn't going to BK) she was mad; she was furious and she honest-to-God complained, whined, and sulked all night and keep in mind she turns 80 this month! She was just being sooooo childish, baby-ish and immature I couldn't believe it and all over a sammich, even when she had the good kind of pizza she still could have had for a snack, but she scoffed I don't eat much pizza anymore! and stuck her nose up at it and I told her, Well, then, you don't have to have alot of it; just have 1 piece, but there's enough for everyone but she sulked and refused, and then yesterday she still hasn't forgotten about her sammich, oh,no, and was right back at it, and in a matter of under 5 minutes bugged my hubby when he was at work at lunchtime yakking for her beloved sammich for him to go and pick it up so he finally did and she had him get 2 for everyone as it's 2 for 6$ even though normally we'd just get the 2 for 6$ and 2 people would share it and get 1 each so that way it also costs less but she wanted 2 just for herself, and then I had one for my lunch and saved my other one for lunch today, putting it on my place-setting on the kitchen table to put away in the fridge later in a baggie with my name on it
.....and when I went to put it away later it was gone, off my place-setting and it turned out she had taken it, thinking it was "left over"....yeah, right.....on MY place-setting.....whose did she think it was.....and she was going to give it away! WTF? Then she blamed me (like she always does) when I got mad and snarled, Don't be so critical! and I told her, But it WAS your fault! You're the one that took my food and tried to give it away! I have the right to be mad! but she never takes responsibility for anything or admits wrongdoing, and later on the 26 YR old gave me his second sammich though as the lettuce was all brown and wilty(like it often is, and I always get the thick "stalky" gross white part in mine) and it grossed him out. With mine I just pick off the gross lettuce but still eat the rest. I won't throw away a perfectly good sammich otherwise, just get rid of the gross part, just like on pizza; I just pick off the pepperoni.
Even though yesterday was a holiday they still picked up the garbage and recycling but only half the people on our street even had it put out on the curb for pick-up but we did figuring either it gets picked up or if not the next day so put it out anyway and it's a good thing that we did, and I heard a new word on the news for homeless people: unsheltered population, and I'm so old too I was in St.Petersburg when it was still called Leningrad and in the Montreal Trudeau airport when it was called Mirabel, the 14 YR old is also going camping with his friend at the end of the month and has an app't to get his hair cut next week, the easrliest I could get him in as they were all booked up since the salons were just allowed to open 2 days ago,and when I got up this morning I also saw the 26 YR old had saved me some of his pizza pretzel Combos that he knows I love, too, which was a really nice gesture and I appreciated and it just made my day. He has an eye app't today, too.
I’ve been a conspiracy theorist, nut job since I was a child.- Jess.
