Catch Of The Day.

Look what Buddy caught the other day: a mouse(shown here)! Being a Dachshund his prey-drive is very strong and he's always been a good mouser but at 16 1/2 I didn't think he still had it in him, that he was fast enough now to still be able to catch them in his old age....but he did! I saw a commontion in the livingroom so i went over to see and I saw him pawing at a mouse and getting it in his mouth so I took it away before he could kill it and I thought it was already dead actually as it wasn't moving and it was all floppy and wet but then saw it was breathing very shallow( so either dying ,scared shitless, or playing dead?) so I just tossed it outside in the backyard. I also shared my popcorn with him and he just licked the butter off and then spit the popcorn out! Eww! Yesterday I also saw a brown rabbit in our driveway and a woodpecker and a European starling in our tree and I knew it was European because it had the spots on it.

Now the construction crew made a deep trench in front of next-door, where they normally park their little red car but not for now, and they're working their way down the street, from our end back down to the other end they've already done, so that eventually the entire street would have been all dug up and the water and sewer pipes installed and the 27 YR old said they'd wonder with me taking photos why this crazy old lady's always out there taking photos when they're trying to do their work and yesterday and today my back, stomach, and abdomenal pain as well as pain on my lower right side is sooo bad it feels like I've been kicked by a horse and I just want to curl up in a hole somewhere and die and the livingroom ceiling fan was also leaking water now again too dripping down from the shower from the second-floor bathroom and the kitchen ceiling's leaking again too from the roof from all the heavy rain and I hate it that everything we have is just shit but we can't afford to get anything fixed.

Here is a big pile of stones/gravel that they eventually smooth out onto the dirt road after the fill in the trench. My hubby is also off 2 weeks vacation and tomorrow 2 of the girls arrive from BC but not until late and flights are always notoriously late so I won't see them until the next day and they're NOT in Toronto for a week like I originally thought either, but just for the weekend, for Fan Expo  and the CNE and I'm going to the CNE next week separate as I can't stay as late or as long as they do; I simply just get too tired and can only stay a few hours and I get wiped-out. Yesterday my computer also had no Internet( everyone else's was OK though; it was just mine) so the 15 YR old had to fix it and it's also just always when I try and watch the news the past few days too the TV always shuts off literally every few seconds so out of the hour program I only ever get to see maybe 5 minutes of it yet when other people watch TV it's fine for them.....am I cursed, or a jinx, or have bad luck, or what?
