The construction guys are still mainly working at the other end of our street still but they did bring this huge cement hollow circular tube( shown here) 2 of them actually, with piece 1 and piece 2 written on them so I assume they fit together in front of our house and leave it across the street I assume for later use to put underground for either sewage or water and they're much bigger than they look, too; the bigger one is taller than I am( and I'm 5'6) so together probably 8 feet or so tall and when I said, Can you imagine the size of the hole they'll have to dig to fit that underground? my hubby said, Yeah, about 8 feet. I can still remember back when I was in Kindergarten too we had one just like the big one turned sideways (painted orange at the ends)in our school playground and we used to curl up inside it and play and how much fun it was except that it got really stifling HOT in there when the weather got hot and that one time someone peed in there and it smelled really bad. It will be interesting to see when they come back down our end and do the work to install it and I'll post more photos of the progress later. A neighbour also "challenged" me saying that he could easily outsmoke me,too.
I seriously doubt it.
Here you can see the 2 parts waiting to be installed at a later date but they don't have to worry about anyone stealing them though as they weigh so much and no one can lift and carry them off! The oppressive heatwave also finally ended and last night sitting outside I could even feel the cold front coming in, blessed relief from the humidity and I heard a neighbour's smoke detector going off too I hope was just someone burning dinner and not an actual fire.We had one 26 YRS ago at our old house and it was a nightmare I'll never forget and Buddy hasn't had any more "bleeds" and his shit is back to normal now as well; no more tarry black shit from the blood he'd swallowed but he just slept all day yesterday, likely weak and tired from losing all that blood and when I thought I was losing him it really hurt hard but I'm just so relieved and thankful he's still here. My hubby calls him Zombie Dog too because he's almost died and "come back to life" so many times. I also saw an eagle fly overhead yesterday too which you don't see around here( you might see the odd falcon but even that's rare) so I wonder if maybe it's a "sign" of some sort that I'm going to be set free and fly soon? My mother and hubby both also always accuse me of never listening but I DO; I just don't hear, understand, or misunderstand; there's a difference, and I saw the most beautiful man the other day on the news too; an Egyptian with golden tanned skin and the most gorgeous emerald green eyes and he had perfect teeth, too! Oh, my Lord!
My hanging fern( in the middle, and maybe the reason I like ferns is they remind me of dreadlocks?) is also a rescue; a neighbour had put it out on the curb for garbage pick-up so I rescued it,brought it home and gave it love, and Olivia Newton-John died yesterday too at 73 and she was a big part of my childhood growing up in the 70's, esp. with Grease and Xanadu (and yes, I had the soundtracks to both, and even though Xanadu was a lame movie the music was good, esp. with her and ELO, who I always liked) and she had been battling cancer for 30 years which is odd as usually you die within 5 years but just like my friend W( from Ottawa and also the godfather of my older kids) his mother had breast cancer for 15 years before she finally died, too, but it made the difference between her kids being little and grown up, and just goes to show too that you don't die until it's your Time. I also had a weird dream the coroner wheeled out 4 bodies on a stretcher in zipped-up black body bags out of the neighbour's house from a crime scene, and I found out nausea is a common side-effect of both diabetes and the medication so I guess it's just something my mother just has to learn to live with, like how I do with daily chronic pain, and as well as bad lower back pain on the right side now my right shoulder at the back also hurts, likely what they call referred pain. I'm just so broken, in more ways than one.
Live free or die.
