Best Day EVER!!

Today started off just like any other day and there was nothing unusual or exceptionally exciting about it...until the newly-minted 28 YR old came home from work. He's now been working at his new job for 2 weeks and got his first paycheque today. My mother had the nerve to ask how much he makes( I know, how gauche!) and I just asked him if he has enough for his needs( basically for food and jiu-jitsu and that's enough and he's happy; he's a minimalist) and if he made the same or more than his last job at the grocery store( a bit more only with opportunity for advancement, unlike his old job, stuck at minimum wage forever) and he also brought me home a nice surprise too:
weed!
...and not just weed, not just any old weed, but a nice baggie full of it, I'd say easily 8-10 grams by looking at it and he said he got it from his boss; the old guy grows his own for medical purposes (so he's an old stoner like me!)so it's good high-quality, works well for pain(he has back issues) and he got it for a really reduced price, too, much less than the usual going-rate of 10$-plus per gram! I'm sooooo happy! This not only made my day but my entire week! His boss is a godsend, in more ways than one and there's a reason that the 28 YR old's always been one of my favourites, too. I haven't tired the new ones yet but earlier I was outside smoking and a bluejay flew by  so low past me and almost damn near flew smack right into my face (maybe I wasn't the only one who was flying high?)and it's sooo cold out it feels like 2 C and kids were even wearing warm winter coats, hats, and mitts and I swear it feels more like wet snow(it was heavier than rain!) but starting tomorrow for the next 6 days finally stop raining, will be sunny, and get warm, like 13C up to 20C so I can go back outside!

Growing up in Toronto I also went to 4 schools; 2 I loved and 2 I hated and this is one I loved; Bowmore  Rd. P.S.  grades JK- 6. I also loved Riverdale C.I  and I'm not even going to mention the other 2; they don't deserve to be named, and my mother bought us underwear (funderwear) but we had to share a pack since now it costs 15$! (it didn't used to be so expensive!) so now we get 3 each( 6 in a pack) and she saw her diabetic nurse  today as well  and had her first insulin shot; pinch a bit of belly blubber and inject it(once a day) and it's already pre-measured in a syringe(it looks like an Epi-pen) which lasts 10 days and the stupid thing is the gov't covers the insulin but NOT the syringe but luckily she has a senior's discount at the pharmacy so she only has to be 4$ or so, and what I thought was a patch on her arm(that stays for 2 weeks) she scans is actually a needle embedded in there, and yesterday morning I saw little pieces of honest-to-God shit floating in my bath water I assume must have came from out of the drain from the sewer and I noticed as well that The Teacher  across the street has been home(and not at work) for 4 days this week so I wonder if he's off sick or even got fired?
