Me Day.

Yesterday was Me Day, a day to pamper myself. First I went to the barber and had a "Fade" done on my hair on the back and sides, shown here(sorry about the face!), and I absolutely love it! I really needed a pick-me-up and this did it! The barber was an Indigenous woman which surprised me as barbers are traditionally men but all the barbers there were all women! She did a really good job too and I gave her a good tip,and funny, too: when I called my hubby to come pick me up when I was done he was shopping and said he couldn't find a certain item I had on the list and accused me that it didn't exist and I told him he simply was at the wrong store; they only have it at Wal-Mart and he was at FreshCo and the barbers all over-heard the conversation and collectively laughed and shook their heads and said Men!!!! I'm still really dizzy too and stagger around with my virus my hubby says must be COVID and it's easy to blame everything on it but I know it's not; I've had it twice before and it feels different, and with it I had no appetite or taste and I do now and, in fact, I'm really hungry this time(starve a cold, feed a fever?).This morning my InterNet was also off, too, but of course just mine and no one else's, just like when it went off around Christmas even when it came back my computer still didn't have it even when everyone else's was restored. I swear I must be a jinx.

My mother and I also went to our fave. Italian place last night for my early birthday dinner and my hubby was actually going to park 2 blocks away and expected my mother to walk that far with her walker when she can barely walk from one room in the house to another and I told him No way! Let us off right in front! (he never was much of a considerate gentleman though)and for the first time she spent too much and can't pay all her credit card balance this month and will either have to pay so much a month plus enormous 28% interest or take out another loan to pay it but she spent 350$ on just chocolates for Christmas plus 5 turkeys that we didn't need,  and we normally take down the outdoor lights on New Years but a couple of days ago they short-circuited again in the rain(we're getting 35 mm today, too!) so we just unplugged them so they ended a bit earlty. We also shared a delicious decadent chocolate mousse cake for dessert too(so good it literally made my toes curl) so I bet her glucose will spike waaaay up, like up to 50 or something and yesterday even before it was over 20!

I also went to the nail salon and had my nails done. They didn't have the silver metallic chrome polish so I got a pretty sparkly glittery pink instead and I'm happy with it. I love it! I hate having someone touch my hands though and I sit there all stiff and awkward. The person doing it was also a Vietnamese man! They usually are Vietnamese but usually women so that was a surprise  and I also wonder too if someone has extra fingers( like my friend F was born with 12 fingers and toes but had the extra ones cut off) do they charge extra? Today I'm also taking down the indoor Christmas decorations and tomorrow I'm doing the tree.My mother was gross yesterday, too; she wore a shirt that had shit stained on the back and when I asked her to change she said I wasn't dressed up either (I wore a long baggy  cashmere sweater and my black "Genie" pants) and I told her at least I was clean  and didn't have shit on my shirt!
