Today it's sofa king cold ( so f*cking cold...get it?) and going even colder later, down to - 40C and breaking another record, being the coldest day in years and somewhere up North it's even - 52C! Holy shit! This is the kind of cold where your water pipes freeze and burst and your car won't start. We also have frost on our windows you can't even see out but Buddy and I were nice and snug and warm last night in my bedroom with our little heater on all night. I still also have baaad abdomenal pain for the past 3 days and yesterday I saw my doctor and I got my BP checked but he didn't listen to my heart or lungs but I got forms for blood work and did a urine test and he said he'll book me an abdomenal ultrasound and if anything "fishy" shows up on that then I'll get a CT scan, which I was hoping to get first as it shows everything; stomach, abdomen and back not just the abdomen like the ultrasound but I guess it's still better than nothing. They still made everyone wear face-diapers ( masks) in the office too even though I thought everyone was finally over that shit but as the nurse handed it to me she said it was by order of the Ministry Of Health still for all doctor's offices, hospitals, clinics, medical settings, etc. There were 10 or so people there waiting before me and they all got seen before me and then more kept coming and they all got seen before me too and I was waiting and it was 30 minutes and I asked them if they forgot about me and said I had to get home to let my dog out and couldn't wait too long and I finally got seen..
It was interesting as well of all the things I told him I was concerned about (the pain, the fluid retention, the peeing myself while asleep, etc) the thing that most concerned him was that I have to nap every day; that I'm so fatigued and can't get thru the day without napping, and at the end of the visit he asked me how the kids were doing and so I said, ...2 of them now live in Edmonton, 3 of them in BC, one got a sex-change... and when I mentioned the last part he looked up from his notes and his eyebrows shot up in stunned, shocked surprise and he goes, Really? and I bet he went home last night and told his wife, You'll never guess.... My hubby says he can't due to doctor/patient confidentiality but when my mother worked at the hospital she'd come home every night and tell me weird, wacky, and wonderful stories about her patients all the time, and they said on the news as well with the average house in Toronto costing over a million$ with 20% down the average monthly mortgage is still over 5K, who the hell can possibly afford that, and I realized too that homeless people are basically feral people, living outside in the wild.
