When my hubby was out yesterday I asked him to pick me up an Easter lily. Easy enough, or so you'd think.
Except he came back with this.
I knew right away that it was definitely NOT an Easter lily.
Or even a lily of any sort.
I can tell by the leaves and it looks like either crocus or daffodil based on the leaves (both are very similar)but it's still a bud so until it blooms we have no idea for sure. It's a mystery flower.I don't mind though as this way I end up with an extra flower!
Now this is an Easter lily and what it looks like. Note the leaves look waaaay different ( similar to palm fronds) and it's just the one stalk with many white blooms on it and the flowers smell like Froot Loops. When I first mentioned that to my hubby years ago he laughed and said No way!! but then when he sniffed it he was surprised and said I was right; it does! He went back to the store to do more shopping and eventually got the right thing; an Easter lily( as I gave him a photo). and I named her Miss Lily. I originally named the other one Daffy being almost certain it was a daffodil......but then I thought it could be a crocus (even though I thought it looks kind of big for a crocus) so I decided on M.F. for Mystery Flower.
The 28 YR old also got this big bag of pork chops at the butcher for only 25$ which is really good as normally it would go for 100$ or so and even a small pork roast costs around 25-30$ and he also invented this card game similar to Yu-Gi-Oh! or Dungerons & Dragons that took him months to create and he has over 400 cards and characters and he has them at the professional printer now getting printed out and laminated, all in colour, some even in foil, and I bet it's going to look soooo cool, and yesterday Buddy and I sat outside in the sun and fresh air for an hour but today it's going to be really shitty( along with weather alert) for freezing rain, snow, and 15 mm of rain with 85 KM winds! Today is also the youngest's 16th birthday and last night my hubby "forgot" to get his birthday cake( ice cream cake) and ran out last minute at 8 pm to Dairy Queen to get it and luckily they had one left but it was just a small one but still better than nothing and cleaning out the deep freezer for it he just took out my stuff and tossed it saying do whatever with it, there's "no room" knowing there's no room up in the freezer upstairs either and said just throw it out( but I won't waste food) as always just treating anything for me as disposable and least important.
This is also what it looks like after the snow melts in the spring and all the doobies I'd snubbed out in the snowbank in the winter on the back porch are left behind and exposed so I had a big mess to clean up and I heard on the radio about a festival at a town in California named San Juan Bautista and it sounds to me like the name of an artist; a famous painter, and they said the kids will like the rainbow Snow-cones and I was thinking, hell, I'd like the rainbow Snow-cones and it's been decades since I've had one of those things, and one of my Facebook friends was venting that her mother is a narcisstic alcoholic and I can empathize having a narcisstic mother myself and I remember seeing a photo of her once and thinking to myself, Wow, she sure looks like white trash! so I guess I was right; they just have this certain look and you can tell, and if I am being poisoned maybe that's also why nothing shows up on medical scans explaining my symptoms because poison can only be detected by blood work and only then if you specifically look for it.
Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all
The time
Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth.-Queen
