It Snowed Last Night!

As promised it snowed last night! It was yucky dreary rain when I went to bed but then the temps dropped overnight......and when I woke up this morning I saw this:
snow!
pretty sparkling Christmas snow!
Yeah!
Now it finally looks and feels like Christmas. I just hope it doesn't warm up again and all melt away before The Big Day.
This morning my hubby and the 16 YR old also leave on their 4-5 HR drive (which will most likely be longer due to the snow) and I begin my 3 day adventure of quiet and peace here at home unbothered. I might even order-in some food to celebrate.
Yesterday my hubby also went and got his X-ray done on his knee and booked his MRI for next month which was fast; it took me 6 months to get mine before(but he's always had much better luck than me) and when he gets back he'll get his blood work done as he has 2 weeks off work. Yesterday he also groused that he hates doing grocery shopping too as it takes 3-4 hours( because he goes all around to several stores to get the best price) even though he's the only one that drives and I also can't walk  that much or for that long anymore now, either, and then he also complains that most of the stuff on the list is mine, anyway, but of course it is when I'm the one that does the cooking and knows what we need and what we're running short/out of and write the grocery list!

Yesterday I also saw this photo of batons online and it was the exact same one my cousin got me when I was about 9. It brings back so many happy nostalgic childhood memories. I spent so much time with it,too, and I got really good at it with all the practice I put in and I could really twirl that thing like a  motherf*cker and I could twirl it several various ways and spin it and toss it up in the air and catch it both standing and walking and I even wore it out so much so that the metal rod eventually poked out thru the rubber ends. The Fascist gov't also is passing a law that by 2035 all new cars have to be "emission free" (why do they pander to the enviro-freaks so much though? Who really gives a shit what they think ,and why do they have so much influeunce, anyway? Special interest groups in this shithole have more rights than the rest of us) meaning electric cars, even though no one can afford them, always so much over-regulation of everything all the time; they should just leave us alone and stop interfering in our lives all the time, and I guess the way out of it is just to always buy used cars and not new ones,(until they outlaw those, too) not that anyone can afford  them, anyway, and I also can't believe the year is almost over already and the worst thing that happened this year was in May( it's always in May) when my mother shut down and refused to get out of bed  for months and peed and shit in there and stunk up the entire house and she even had bedbugs and it was just horrific and I was on the verge of suicide I just couldn't cope and then she finally went into the LTC home in September and things started to look up.
