Only This For Now.

Now it's a sad 4 C out and only going up to a "high" of 12 C but it's the normal seasonal temp for this time; we had been spoiled recently with it being almost doubled but now the cold front has come thru and we're back to reality. It's also really windy(making it feel even colder), so the leaves are now blowing off the trees and I just hope the trees don't blow over, too! Sheesh!! Yesterday I also finally saw the Man With The Black Dog walk by too as I was looking for mail and I'm so glad! I was really worried he was dead so it's nice to see he's still alive and well so maybe he was just away on vacation or something? He's part of the "fabric" of the neighbourhood and it would just seem like something's "missing" if he was gone.

My hubby also said our Toyota also has a Lexus engine for some reason( don't ask me, I have no idea, I'm just passing on what he told me) so I joke the car is "trans" but is it a Toyota that identifies as a Lexus...or a Lexus that identifies as a Toyota, and sadly soon he'll also have to get the snow tires put on,too( waaah!!) which I don't even want to think about,  and yesterday the LTC home also called and one of the nurses left us a message on the machine informing us that they put cream on my mother's diaper rash and I must say they're really good at keeping us updated on everything.

I also found out Foreigner(who is on my Bucket List) is extending their concert dates to next summer but only 2 dates here in the Shithole; in Windsor and Vancouver, both of which are(of course!) too far for me; Windsor is something like a 5 HR+ drive and my poor back could never take it( the longest I can go now is 2 HRS and even that's torture!) and Vancouver is a 4-5 hour *flight* and then there's also the 2 HR drive to the airport and 600$ or so airfare, and I wonder why they're NOT coming to Toronto though?
It figures, just MY "luck!"
f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck!

My hubby also told me I can't visit my mother Saturday morning( my new usual time as they switched pickleball to the afternoons) as he has to work and there's pickleball in the afternoon( and he won't miss that no matter what) and I said I'll just go Sunday morning instead then, no problem, and then he gets all bent-out-of-shape saying I'll go in the evening when him and the 17 YR old have badminton  and he'll just drop me off but no way; we'be been thru this before; it makes me too late and I get too tired and feel like shit, plus 3 HRS is way too long for a visit; an hour is enough, and then he goes on how HE is always the one who has to be "inconvienced" etc. and I had to laugh; he's never put-out; it's always me that has to change everything around and alter my plans and schedule and have everything ruined, and his excuse it I "have more time" and I'm "home all day" not realizing that I too still have a schedule, plans and a routine (not that he cares) and that when he has "free time" he "likes to do things for HIM" (yeah, well, that's pretty obvious!) even though I think you should do your obligations first and then your "fun" stuff after....but it ended up working out afterall as they cancelled pickleball( ha,ha!serves him right!) so I get to visit her Saturday afternoon!
He can suck it!

See the shovel on the porch? It's still there from last winter and now ready and waiting for this winter! HA! We also still have the Christmas tablecloth on the diningroom table from last year, too!😂
Yesterday it was also comical to watch the 17 YR old try to figure out how to pop a cap off an old-fashioned bottle of pop using an archaic bottle opener; he'd never seen one before and had no idea how it worked and to complicate it, it also came attached with a corkscrew for champagne and he was puzzled trying to figure it out and it made my hubby and I howl with laughter because, well, we used those things since we were like 4-5 years old, but it would be comparable to me struggling trying to fix a car or program a computer but after awhile he finally figured it out and he's not stupid, either, but practically a genius!
My kids would soooo NOT survive back in the 70's and 80's! HA!

This is also my new dreads, I got a message they're ready and being shipped out!
Yahoo!
I'm soooo excited and can hardly wait!
This is my 4th order from her as well and  up on her website she has a whole bunch of photos of customers wearing the dreads she designed but  I noticed that she doesn't have a photo of me with any of mine even though I did send her one; I guess she doesn't want ugly people representing her brand.
Sigh.

I also found these funky hippie-style clothes I like but know I will never order and just have to admire them from afar.

lessons I also learned early as a kid incl:
-don't get into trouble
-don't get caught
-lay low
-run
-hide
-survive

I also keep on going in life until I can't go on anymore.
