Landed. Right-side up.
That's the message my hubby sent me yesterday when he and the 17 YR old arrived in Vancouver. As for the plane that crashed and flipped upside-down and caught fire in the Toronto airport(everyone survived and as the old pilot saying goes, Every landing you walk away from is a good landing), the burned wreckage(minus a wing) is still there, with 2 runways( out of 5) still closed down for the investigation with hundreds of flights still cancelled as well so I hope everything's all back up and running again by the time they come back in 5 more days.My hubby also gave me the wrong flight number so when I tried to track it( shown above) it said he was in Georgia but I eventually found the right one( duh!) and it was a 1 HR 34 min. flight from Edmonton to Vancouver, and it's also not lost on me either that the 25 YR old thinks nothing of travelling all the way from Venice to BC to visit her siblings( a reaaalllly looong flight!)and yet when she travelled from Ottawa to a town 15-20 min away from us to visit my mother over Christmas she never even bothered to stop by to visit me.
Now if that's NOT a cruel and deliberate snub then I don't know what is.
I know, what a total bitch, right?
I enjoyed them in their child stages but the teen into adult years were hell on earth with continued disrespect and disregard for my feelings.-G.P.
Today it's also -23 C, the same temp. as it is in our deep-freezer and somewhere in Saskatchewan it's even -40C!

How cool is this? Roses made of LEGO! The 30 YR old got it from his GF for a Valentines present so naturally I asked her if they have sunflowers too and she said they do so I checked it out and found it( see below) and it took them 1-2 days to assemble and I suck at stuff like that so when I get mine my hubby will have to assemble it( he loves doing stuff like that, anyway) and the 30 YR old came back briefly yesterday and shovelled a walkway for mail and deliveries(but still not the driveway) and then they left again, and I also was surprised to find out his GF is divorced and I never even knew that she was married but she mentioned how her ex-hubby has one of their dogs, and I can tell she really loves the 30 YR old, too, by the loving way she looks at him, too, and it's so sweet and I think that she very well might be The One, and she was asking me the ages and middle names of the kids as well and I'd just smoked 'da blessed herb beforehand and I still remembered them all except for one of the 23 YR old's middle names which is pretty good esp. considering my hubby never remembers any of them normally, and I also heard this morning on das radio that the new owner of the former cinema in town IS still keeping it a cinema which is good and it's opening in spring.

Tomorrow is also Buddy's 19th birthday( old man!) and tonight I'll be ordering-in food for me as a treat and I'm really enjoying my quiet time off just us and I only have to do laundry and dishes every 4 days now instead of daily, and I saw online someone's dog died after routine surgery as well(one of my Chihuahuas died after a cesarian, too) and I see this often and it's why I haven't taken my dogs to vets(or for vaccines) in years; they seem to do more harm than good, over-charge people, rip people off( and I haven't got the $$$ anyway) and dogs have been fine out in wild for centuries without them, and it's also always better the fewer "outsiders" you have involved in your life anyway, and I must be doing something right because Buddy's almost 19! Come From Away is also playing in Toronto until early May and I *REALLY* want to go see it but now I have to just convince my hubby to take me to Toronto( a 2 HR drive each way) and back before I buy a ticket and Russia and USA are planning on having negotiations on ending the Russia/Ukraine war only without incl. Ukraine in the talks even though it involves them, which would be like throwing a birthday party for someone and NOT inviting them!!
For every pain there's a melody, yeah
For every trouble there's a harmony.-Chronixx
