It's still so hot out and I even had to sleep in just my underwear last night and now it's not even 8 am and it's already 28C! We're supposed to get a blessed cold front coming in tonight for relief(and possible storm) and going back to a less humid more seasonal 29 C tomorrow so hopefully we can get back outside again.I also don't think our A/C is working as I had it on all day yesterday( despite what my hubby says; f*ck him; we're not all going to die of heatstroke because he's too cheap to run the A/C) and the indoor temp still stayed at 25 C all day( we like to keep it at 20C) and it felt hot and stuffy and despite me mentioning several times over for the past 2 months reminding my hubby to call the furnace place to book the yearly check-up and cleaning he still never did and he snapped if it's "so important to me" then why don't I call them, knowing very well with my social phobia I hate talking to people on the phone and it's no problem for him when he does it all the time for work, plus he's the one that takes care of the accounts, etc. anyway. It also got up to 34 C yesterday but felt like 44C and in Toronto it was even hotter: 36C!
I was right as well: they did end up cancelling pickleball yesterday, too, due to the heat(ha,ha, told you so) and my hubby was sulking and thought it was dumb but for someone who claims to be so smart he can be really stupid!

I also saw this photo of an old-fashioned door and I had those exact same ones on our doors(not only the French doors dividing the livingroom and diningrooms but ALL the doors in the house, incl. bedrooms, bathroom, and even closets!) at our old Toronto house, which was built in the late 1800's,back when people took pride in their work and showed true craftsmanship and things were beautiful. I really miss that house and still think about it and see it in my dreams and even have this recurring dream over the decades that I move back. I never should have left and regret it. I also saw an expression yesterday online that perfectly describes me and is apparantly becoming sadly common in society today:
"Throw-away parent."

Beja also loves the oddest thing ever for a dog: raw carrots! he nibbles and gnaws on them like a bone and I don't mind as it's good for him and re-directs his need to chew instead of on stuff he shouldn't be chewing and I just have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't bite off a big piece and choke and I heard as well there's this game called cornhole I don't know if it's actually a real thing or not but it sounds so rude it really made me laugh and just sounds so obscene, like suck my cornhole! HA! Iran also bombed an American military base in Qatar in retaliation for them bombing their nuclear facilities(fair is fair) and then Israel asked USA to intervene and ask to broker a peace deal between them and Iran(naturally Trump is taking all the credit for) so I guess they can dish it out ( attacking Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and now Iran) but when someone actually fights back (Iran) they can't take it but they started it. I'm not too hopeful and optimistic though as the Book Of Revelation predicted this; saying there was to be a war in Israel followed by a temporary peace; a false sense of peace and security until an even bigger war breaks out just prior to Jesus' return....
