Catalpa.

We have a Catalpa tree growing in our backyard we didn't plant. The Teacher across the street has a ginormous one in his front yard so my guess is one of the seeds( they grow in thse really long pods that looks like string beans!) must have either blown over here or been planted by a squirrel and grown) but it must be at least 5 years old now because this is the first time it's had blossoms, shown above. They look similar to Horse Chestnut blossoms and also  remind me of orchids and have an amazing  wonderful scent sort of like Easter lilies and now the whole yard smells really nice, esp. after it rains but sadly like most blossoms don't last for long, just 1-2 weeks.

 Beauty fades and nothing good ever lasts for long.

The night before last we also had this big storm and I was I was violently woken up at 3 am by my really bad cough sooooo baaaad I was choking(do I have sleep apnea, I wonder?) and I heard Stairway To Heaven  and saw my Angel Bird again,too.

I always feel nervous as well every time something wet falls down from the sky and drops on me and I always hope & pray it's just a raindrop and not a bird shit, and my hubby arrived in Calgary yesterday for his chess tournament (see the map below) and this time it was 457 miles and he had a flight last week, yesterday, and again next week so he'll be starting to think he's a jet-setter, ha,ha. The mail also left me another reminder to pick up my passport at the post office which I can't do until Thursday when my hubby's back(Wed. is a holiday,anyway) and I just hope it's still there by then and they don't end up sending it back and isn't it just MY "luck" that it had to come during the 2 weeks he was away? It usually takes 6 weeks or longer.

 Venezuela also got 2 7.-something earthquakes minutes apart and even though they thankfully only lasted a minute they were catastropic and can you just imagine if they'd lasted any longer, say 5 minutes? There would be nothing and no one left and it said in the Bible there would be increased natural disasters( earthquakes, floods, droughts,etc.) in the Last Days just before Jesus returns and here we are now, and I heard the PM's official residence at 24 Sussex is also old and falling apart and has mold and mice too so now *I* don't feel so bad about our house(but unlike us they can afford repairs and restoration) and I've always felt like an imposter in life,too, like I'm just playing a part, like an actor in a role, and I'll never forget the first time I heard certain songs,either, such as Refugee by Tom Petty, The Spirit Of Radio by Rush, Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd, Jump by Van Halen, Cars by Gary Newman, Urgent by Foreigner, Eyes Without A Face by Billy Idol, Dirty Deeds by AC/DC, Stairway To Heaven by Led Zepellin, Love Bites by Def Leppard, One Love by Bob Marley, etc.

Some songs impact your life and stay with you forever.
