Today it's soooo humid & muggy out it's the Air You Wear!
We're supposed to get a good thunderstorm to cool it down and Toronto got one and due to the lightning their outdoor FIFA World Cup Fan Festival was cancelled and evacuated. thousands of people!
I also wonder though too why it's even *called* "soccer" in North America when in Europe and elsewhere it's actually called futbol (and that's even the Russian word for football) as opposed to American football and I even learned something new (although I knew about the futbol thing for like forever) as well: the soccer( I mean futbol) field is actually called a pitch.
I was also originally going to post this tomorrow but I'm still so pissed-off I'm doing it now as I needed to vent:
I got an e-mail from my GP that I'm being charged 20$ for my prescription re-newal(and for each following one every 3-6 months and I have 3 prescriptions in total) which neither the provincial health plan or my hubby's employee insurance at work covers....making that an additional 20$ on top of what the medications already costs.
Doesn't he already make enough $$$ as it is without having to nickel-and-dime people like me?
"Thanks" alot, asshole.
One of my cousins in Europe is also in Egypt now deep-sea diving, also known as SCUBA diving, and my plants hanging out on the front veranda perked up; I just gave them more water so I guess they were just thirsty and dehydrated since it's been so hot and I also got more weed, and my hubby said just one of the Edmonton Boys is coming up to Calgary to see him while he's at the chess tournament; the 28 YR old but not the oldest and when he said it takes 45 minutes to get from Edmonton to Calgary I thought he meant driving by car but he meant flying by plane, so I guess it's probably around a 3 HR or so drive then since it takes 45 minutes to fly from Toronto to Montreal but it's about a 3 HR drive. In Europe you can drive to another country in 3 HRS.
I also saw a duck swimming in the "swamp" on top of our pool cover for a couple of days in a row.
The older I get... the more I understand why people disappear into cooking, art, music, gardening, books and quiet lives.-Blue
