Yesterday I got a big scare: The LTC home called and said my mother's oxygen was low( as in 76%!) and she was on 3 L oxygen and then it went back up to 99% again and she was scared and asking for me to come in right away to see her as she was scared and "didn't want to die alone" so my hubby told his boss she had taken a turn for the worst and we raced over there(the usual 15 min. or so drive never felt so long!) and she had been a sickly grey colour but when we got there she looked much better and was even sitting at the side of her bed. She gave us a biiiiig scare though and they almost sent her to the hospital except her sats came back up, thank God! She didn't have a fever or pain though (just really short of breath) and they'ye going to do a chest X-ray( they even have a portable X-ray at the LTC home, how cool is that? They really seem to be on top of things) and she did admit she's been cheating on her diabetic diet for the past week though, too, sneaking desserts and chips, etc. so maybe that could be it, high glucose affecting her oxygen levels? Hopefully it's just that and NOT a heart or lung issue! They also gave her a diuretic and she was still on the oxygen when we visited. She also said they're having their Thanksgiving dinner there Sunday so for us to just visit her on Monday and just bring her a piece of pumpkin pie from our friend's bakery and some cranberries which is much easier, and to 'remind" the 28 YR old as well if she dies(even though he'll no longer have to pay her rent) that we'll have even less $$$ because there will no longer be her pensions to pay the bills. She also has this pole next to her bed to help her get up and it reminds me of a stripper pole!😂
I also got some really pretty fall flowers that have 2 sunflowers in it (above)and if you look closely(I didn't even notice until I posted the photo!) you can even see Buddy's ass in the photo, too!
You're welcome.
I also got an amazing tequila lime chicken burrito for dinner last night and a Jarritos guava flavoured Mexican soda! Yum! The sunrise this morning was extra pretty too and the sky was a beautiful pink and over the next few days we're also supposed to get over a month's worth of rain( which would also explain the pounding headache I woke up with this morning!) and I had this weird dream I had a gun that shot sequins, too, and I shot it at girls wearing white dresses and it turned them into silver sequin dresses and at a wall that turned it into a purple sequin wall (I would sooo love that for my room!) and yesterday it got to 29 C and we broke a record from the 1950's and I saw a chipmunk jump from the fence up into a tree and I never knew that they could jump that far or that high and I also saw a chipmunk chasing a squirrel along a fence top which was kind of funny and the squirrels kept tossing black walnut fruit( which are like hard green balls) down below where I was sitting in the sun, narrowly missing hitting me in the head! I also had what felt like fluid in my chest and kept coughing. I also re-connected with my old friend W(from grade 6) on Facebook and he's now a financial advisor. Most of my old friends did well and are successful now.
And then there's me.
Sometimes I think I should just retire and move to Mexico and drink Jarritos mango soda at the beach.
The leaves are brown and the sky is grey-The Mamas & The Papas
